Vixen and animal man take the offensive first, Elixir imitating their animal-molding abilities via his biological manipulation, so that Darwin could adapt these abilities, evolve himself by virtue of his partner

interesting, this is a war/journey of evolvution

according to the fittest survives, the winners will be mutant

whatever animal-man and Vixen do, Elixir could mimic at meanwhile Darwin evolve himself into a higher level as long as they wouldn't separate

as a result, X-men are able to adjust and better those animal-mixed abilities
let alone Elixir is capable of influence others initiatively

Elixir's powers don't work like that. He can't mimic abilities and shapeshift. He's a healer that has occassionally made stuff like brain tumors. Unless he did something recently, he should get smashed by either Vixen or Animal Man.

Darwin is a problem though.
