i can see in some of the scans the artists were trying to portray a correct punch but they always fail at the same thing. when punching with the right arm yes at the beginning of the punch the right leg is backwards in order to later give the momentum and velocity to the punch. but once the punch is already executed the right leg should be moving forward in a twist with the hip and punch. while the artist draw the leg still being backwards which means the punch cant have a good momentum and the fact the leg is staying put, is only drawing back from the energy coming from that punch.

legs shouldn't be lifted at all really. rotating hips, yes. feet should stay pretty much where they were

Ron Lim does good fight scenes when he wants to.
Not that you'd care, as it has nothing to do with Thanos, but Lim worked on a martial arts comic, Badger. Excellent fight scenes. Very fun!

well it's comic so to expect technical form perfection is silly. Most of these are haymakers. If i was to be nitpicky, i'd say the main problem is that their defensive hand are always down during punching. but again, they seem to be drawn as haymakers so it's no biggie. I think the Superman vs Orion pic DarkSaint posted looked good.

My hands were like rocks and my wrists never got hurt. Now even punching things properly without hooks my wrists get hurt due to not hitting anything anymore.

Basically we assume Hyperion doesn't have weak wrists/hands.

I'm not claiming to be a pro or anything at all but I boxed for years. got my daughter into it too. I honestly don't think any trainer in any kind of martial arts would want you hitting like that tho. I could be wrong, but it just doesn't seem healthy at all.

I just fought through it until I could. Most people wouldn't do that without gloves.

It's the same type of concept with the monks and newspapers on walls. They start off small and then rail on it. You build it up enough and you can pretty much punch anyway you want. Even like Fedor... probably without breaking anything...

honestly. the tilt of the hand can be so slight that it's hard to describe. a person would have to see it. but hyperion's hand looked all wrong

anyway, I've only had two different trainers and they were both in the same circle anyway. and hooks imo shouldn't be used that much at all really. they aren't the fastest strike but can really mess somebody up.
I'm just surprised at how much that little detail varies from person to person.

Yeah it started like tripping me out that I had to stop looking. Though I figured out it was probably the shadows.

Yeah, I like a nice straight, though I used to throw an overhand into a liver shot hook though that I really enjoyed. That shit hurts though if you have weak wrists. Plus I like hooks for those guys that keep their hands down.

Powergirl uppercut is the proper form imo. And yea, i've seen many different variations of hooks. Roy Jones Jr. throws it they way Raisen does. But there's one trainer at my gym who prefers throwing it palm facing out so i'm used to that.

I never really knew so many variations. I was adamantly taught one way. the way I do it generates more power imo, but probably much slower. hooks just don't seem like they should be used much

i don't know, i feel it's faster your way. I rarely use hooks (even if it's part of a 1,2,3 combo). I really only use them as a counter. I love throwing a left hook as a right hand counter. gets them almost every time lol.
