Based
Zonakin and Obi-Wan (ROTS) face of the legendary old republic duo. No offensive force powers allowed.

Team 1, and it's not really that close either.

In my opinion: Exar > Obi-wan > Anakin > Ulic.

Kenobi & Skywalker > Kun, after a long battle.

Soon as you take out Ulic it's GG.

carthage
It wouldn't be a long battle Kenobi and Skywalker would slaughter Kun alone, and as great as Ulic is he would lose to either Kenobi or Skywalker.

Without force abilities Kun and Kenobi would likely be an eternal stalemate, and Vader is stronger, more skilled, and faster than either Exar Kun or Ulic

The Jedi win.

AncientPower
Yeh I wouldn't say Vader or Kun are any more than equals of each other, Ulic is the weakest link here.

FreshestSlice
How is Anakin weaker than Kenobi in sabers?

AncientPower
In raw skill they are equals, factor in experience, wisdom and mastery, Kemobi comes out on top, RotS novel gives exactly this impression.

He lacks high ground.

Nephthys
Team 2 is more powerful and arguably more skilled.

No it doesn't. What is raw skill, by the way? At best, the RotS novel says that Kenobi could battle on par with Emo-Vader in pure sabers.

AncientPower
That's why it state quite clearly that the fight took place where and when he wanted it to then?

Raw skill is natural pure talent, where they are equal, but in everything else Kenobi wins.

There's no such thing as raw skill. There is such thing as talent, which Anakin has more of.

Nope. Anakin's Djem So>= Kenobi's Soresu. No one has ever said Kenobi is greater than Anakin with the saber, but their are a lot of statements that imply that Anakin is greater than Kenobi.

Marco1907
@FreshestSlice

Both Mace and Dooku have considered Obi-Wan as a ''master of the Soresu style'' so I doubt that Anakin's djem-so mastery is superior to Obi-Wan's soresu mastery.

Dooku considers Anakin the greatest Djem So master he has ever seen. erm

Nephthys
He only says he's as good as any he's ever seen.

Ah, you're right. Still, the description of their final duel with Dooku doesn't really support Kenobi is greater than Anakin either.

Nah, it says, "And as fine a one as Dooku had ever seen." Which isn't necessarily the best.

If he's as good as Dooku has ever seen then he has completely mastered the form considering Dooku was a former Lightsaber instructor at the Temple.

Also the ROTS novel names it clear that Anakin and Obi-Wan were equally skilled in their fight.
