Trident?

Golgo13
Whatever is standard.

Based on image this is pre 52, pre full demon blood upgrade Right???

If so that version of BD took a battle to Metallo and shockwave without his trident and faired well. Both these guys would be below Colosus in both Strength and durability.

BD has the ability to dodge and avoid Peter for quite some time. His agility and speed are close to Spidey level (strength too including over time- classic 80's around 10 ton half blood demon more like 40, full blood approaching I'd say 80/90). but without his trident only at best stalemate. I couldn't seeing him actually causing any damage.

With his trident he sould win. While controlled using the power of his trident he soloed John Stewart GL AND Zatanna. he defeated Nebrios who Zatanna said was above her pay grade.

The Nebrios feat however has context. Nebrious is a hell lord of a realm and it is his realm that BD's trident draws power from. When Nebrios is free that means a doorway to his realm is open and BD has a LOT more power at his disposal.

Still though when Etrigan got hold of BD's trident he said he would be able to conquer hell with it (which would mean defeating the triumverate). I'd say giving Danny the trident is too much and makes this unfair even if it is standard.

If your going to give Danny the trident than Peter should be colosonaught.

But... But... Colossus has some kind of enhanced magic resistance!

As Colosonaught yes, but if we allow Blue Devil's trident that allowed him to time manipulate against John Stewart so that his 24 hour chard lasted 5 minutes or so of battle, that allows him t1o create dimensional gateways, that can BFT anyone to hell with just a point, that shoots hell fire that isnt standardmflame and normal durability doesnt protect against we have to let Colosus draw on Cytorak to level

Colosus showings with Cytorak don't match Juggs

Only fair IMHO

Not only as Colosonaught...

Colossus has been obscenely resistant to magic since the 80s.

He was practically the only one who retained his usual self during Inferno.

DarkSaint85
BD wins this.

As Colosonaught

As Kris said, regular Colossus has some decent anti-magic feats, an argument could be made about him giving Blue Devil a fit.

... If people actually cared about Colossus thumb up

There used to be this one awesome guy that liked Colossus.

Bentley
Pr? He's still around and he's not that awesome g_grin

Annabeth
as his sister magik, Colossus's magical attribute is due to the lineage of great-grandfather, Grigori Rasputin

so, he actually possesses the demon DNA

in a sense, it's an inappropriate match

I don't see how that helps against BD. he doesn't have "magic", at least not this version. His power suit was bonded to him magically and made a part of him but his physical powers are all "physical". his trident has energy blasts because it was powered by a spell by Nebrios. But all those blasts and other things come from are the Dimension to which Nebrios was bound and made his realm.

Magic for BD didn't come until after his deal with Neron actually made him a half breed demon. He then later became a full blood by some deal in hell. The trident of the BD pictured doesn't do dimensional gateways or BFR to hell, or any of that stuff (though it did have the one feat of altering time rates of John Stewart when he was possessed) . It simply fired intesne heat blasts (if memory recalls they melted part of Metallo) and allows him to fly. In the days of that image when he wanted to summon his trident it had to fly to him, not just appear in his hand when wanted like now days.

There was also the wirdness magnet thing about him. He attracted wierd things. the way the fuzzy headed guy from the house of mystery put it back then, If BD walked into a bank it would be a 1000 times more likely to be robbed. Colosus may get hammered by a building falling on top of him (sort of crap that happened all the time around BD in those days)
