So this thread is dedicated to a Kryptonian present in the New 52 Universe of DC known as H'el, I hope you enjoy the respect thread. As the New 52 is relatively young I will keep this thread updated if H'el makes more appearances.

I. Teleportation

So this section of the thread will contain all of H'el's teleportation based feats.

H'el teleports Supergirl from the bottom of the Atlantic all the way to the surface of the Sun.

H'el teleports himself and Supergirl from one part of Earth to another area so they arrive at the location of the captured Superboy.

H'el teleports himself and Supergirl to the Fortress of Solitude.

Flash after engaging in a fight with Supergirl proceeds to take an Alien weapon from Superman's armoury, he is just about to use it for it's purpose which is to scramble the Kryptonian physiology, H'el doesn't give Flash the satisfaction. He proceeds to disassemble the weapon then teleport Flash from the Fortress of Solitude all the way to a satellite in Space.

After H'el is ambushed from behind by Superman he notices that Superboy is attacking Supergirl. To prevent her being injured he teleports himself, Supergirl and the entire fortress itself to another location.

II. Durability

Here I will post what scans show demonstrations of H'el's durability.

Here we have H'el tanking a point blank blitz from Supergirl without even being moved. And it seems that her hands are at least rendered numb for a brief period.

And we find out after this that this was Supergirl feeling more energized than ever due to being near the Sun, thereby making her much stronger.

III. Astral Projection

So here I will be posting the times H'el has used Astral Projection to travel around an area.

This occasion is when he teleports Supergirl into Kandor, he states that he is unable to shrink his own body so he creates this projection of what he looked like before he changed instead.

This next set of scans could also be made into an origin section but it more greatly displays his Astral Projection. Here we see H'el use his ability to follow a young Jor-El around the facility while discussing H'el himself.

IV. Speed Level

There is one occasion where H'el's speed is really implied and I think it warrants it's own section.

In this scan Superman is facing away from H'el and in this time H'el is able to bring Superboy to the area without either Supergirl or Superman even noticing that he had left.

V. Mind Reading/Awareness

This category is basically going to include the times H'el has used his mind reading ability to sense whether characters have moved to certain areas.

On this particular occasion H'el can detect that Superman and Superboy have escaped the area.

H'el vs Superman, Wonder Woman and Superboy

This battle is very interesting, it pans through 3 comics. Which is why at one point in the scans you will notice a sudden jump when in fact it's just the fight being resumed. The battle finally ends after the trio have no luck stopping H'el leading to Supergirl tricking H'el which is how they eventually win.

VI. Fights (continued)


Normally for a fight section I would just go X Character vs X Character but I think this next fight is rather unique and needs a lot of explanation.

In this storyline H'el was travelling back through time in attempts to save Krypton. And by doing so it was causing ripples in Space that could eventually cause immense destruction. And what we eventually see is Superboy, Supergirl and Superman and Jor-El take on H'el.

But the interesting part is that H'el is fighting them on 3 separate timestreams (which ends up being 2 once the Superboy fight is over). So H'el in these fights is weakened as he is fighting across 3 timestreams.

And even then Superman admits it will probably be impossible to defeat him as he says.

"H'el has already shown again and again that normal confines of space and time mean nothing to him, if he were to leave here he would create an alternative reality"

One where there wasn't a Kal-El and Jor-El to stop him.

Ultimately Superman can only stop H'el by freezing his essence into time shards.

Apologies for the long explanation to the battle, but I just think it is such a complex battle that many things can be misconstrued so it's always best to iron out problems that people may have had previously before really looking into the battle.

So that's all for the H'el respect thread so far. I very much enjoyed making it as it was my first DC respect thread. I will be updating as feats arrive. That's if H'el can be revived from his current state.

I just wanted to quickly mention if I am away for any reason if a comic is released that features H'el if someone adds it in to this thread is it okay if you could keep with the formatting of the thread please? Only so that it doesn't look dodgy when a load of feats aren't centred compared to others that are.

As far as we know Jor-El sent him in a ship that contained all of Kryptons knowledge. And during this time he was exposed to all sorts of things.

It's never explicitly explained how he got his powers but considering he is of Kryptonian biology who knows what sort of suns he has been flying near absorbing things from.

That's the best explanation I can think of.

Yes. It was revealed in Superman 23.3: H'el oneshot.

It also states that H'el was traversing black holes and centers of quasars which power him. That is an incredible durability feat too.

It's never been outright confirmed but there are theories around the internet that that could be the case.

And it does fit in with H'el being a sum of multiple parts.

Ultimately who knows.
