He's a fast as Old Ben. (However fast that is).

That's rather amusing. A speed level in question compared to a speed level unknown for clarification.

He's so fast that he traveled a huge distance from that cult temple in Vader and the Ninth Assassin back to his ship in a second.

There's body and then there's arm.

Body wise, he's certainly less acrobatic than many. In terms of his ability to swing a sword, though, he's still able to keep up with just about anyone, and faster than many.

Can you actually give a single example? Yes, he can jump high and move fast. But his body simply cannot twist well.

I meant being able to move well and fast. Not twisting. Those things still fall under acrobatics.

Vader's got speed, but agility is not his forte.

I think that is a good argument for both agility and speed.

He's on Obi-Wan's speed class, though he's not nearly as agile.

This is probably closest to the truth.


Of course the reason everyone's coming out with different answers here is because what Lucas intended in his Old Official Canon, and what the Old EU Legends portrays and what the New Official Canon will show are likely all completely different. Then it didn't help that Lucas went around clearly contradicting his own statements on the matter.

Personally I'm looking forward to his feats and showings in the New Disney Official Canon.

TPM Maul & Dooku > RotJ Vader

Maul is Quick and deadly like no other StarWars villain before.

And Yoda showed his speed, RotJ Sheev didn't.

Your point? Your clearly canon source says Maul is quicker and deadlier than any SW villain before not that he is the quickest and deadliest that we have seen.

Clearly you are not going to accept any official source which is says ''Maul is faster than Vader.''

So arguing is pointless. Even though George Lucas himself said that Vader is crippled half droid half man and he wanted to be much more energetic and faster ; Darth Maul.

Doesn't really matter, it is just belong to his power set, it cannot be changed. His breathing apparatus and his heavy armor makes him slower than peak force sensitives.

And Vader also completely outclasses Aurra Sing by dodging all of her acrobatics and attacks without even trying. Trying to make an argument against peak Vader by showing demonstrations of his weakest incarnations is not going to convince anyone.
