Prowess:
"Masters of the Force and controllers of their own bodies, the Matukai Adepts are both formidable combatants as well as powerful Force-Users. Their use of the Wan-Shen makes them difficult to get close to in combat, and when a lucky shot does manage to get though, the Matukai Adept often can reduce the damage he takes from the attack thanks to physiology-manipulating techniques he has learned throughout the course of his training. The Matukai Adept can be found in many places throughout the galaxy, but wherever they are it is almost certain that they will quickly adept to their surroundings".

―Hero's Guide - Matukai Adept Class.

Defined as martial artist of phenomenal renown - the Matukai made their own bodies the channeling focal point of their abilities, holding capabilities in internal-augmentation - in conjunction to structural strengthening amelioration, using forms of meditative martial arts, exercise, and ceremony as a catalyst. Keeping their focus inward, Matukai philosophy differentiated from that of the Jedi Order, in that the Jedi viewed physical exercise and meditation as separate in conceptual ideals; however, this inward concentration allowed Matukai adherents such a degree of control over their bodies as to develop an otherwise negligible or insensitive connection to the Force - into a perennial source of strength.

cknowledged as masters of their physical bodies, the Matukai Adepts with a form of differential ideological utilization of the Force - shaped a systematic interconnection using their bodies as focusing transponder beacons in which harvest energy oscillations in areas of both molecular and external radiance, molecular configurations spiritually endowing strengthening and augmentation alterations unnatural. In doing this - they could reinvigorate their spirits with an inexhaustible energy that allowed them to exert their bodies far beyond their unaided physical limits for unlimited periods of time without tiring. Because of this stamina - Matukai were capable of chaining and maintaining physical feats in brisk concatenation such as tumbling, running, leaping, and complex martial sequences at an astonishing speed described as a "whirlwind" blur of limbs and movement - an optical illustration of a shifting afterimage volley. Additionally - this expeditious spirit restoration sent vibrational strengthening fluctuations throughout the internal system of a Matukai's body, giving amplified levels of power and strength exceeding what their bodies were capable of. In addition to this outward physical mastery, Matukai were acknowledged for their inward mastery and self-awareness of their own bodies, as they were able to physically nullify the effects of hazardous atmospheres, initialize self-examinations for bodily irregularities and ravaging disorientation symptoms associated with disease, discern wounds - and injuries with ease. The Matukai learned to cleanse poisons and illnesses from their bodies, and even gain immunity against dangerous external and internal degradations altogether. To the extent where a fully-trained Matukai could shrug off and eliminate the immedicable effects of a fast-acting lethal neurotoxin given by the stings of venomous Kouhuns, or pass through intensified fields of radiation unaffected, altogether refining their chemical structures into central inoculation cores. Added distinguishments in the Matukai tradition aside from their outward and inward mastery - was their degree of energy destribution and dissemination. As pairs-to-groups of Matukai were able to form synchronization-support field connections to one another for when danger approaches proximity - allowing Matukai meditative support to send ceaseless augmentation streams of Force energy. Matukai trained in the arts of calibrating one's physiological process - were also noted as being able to raise or lower their body temperature for survivability adaption in hot or cold ecosphere temperates, or even amplify their body heat levels to become so hot - as to burn or even incinerate anything they touched. More experienced Adepts could also give normally soft parts of their body - unnatural rigidity, to drastically reduce trauma infliction and damage.

The weapon predilection of the Matukai was a polearm weapon called the Wan-Shen, many of which was tipped on one end with a short-singled edged blade. Each wan-shen conveyed forms of engraved symbols and unique artwork coating it's alloy, a crafted representation symbolizing elements meaningful to it's creator. Most wan-shens were designed with a compound of collapsible or separative shafts for the ease of concealment and transportation, and skilled practitioners could whirl it around their bodies in combat, using themselves as a central axis of rotation. Due to their own physical control, Matukai were capable of wielding the blade with speed and agility astonishing to onlookers, which was portrayed as a Matukai Adept creating a virtual whirlwind of metal and blades. As such, they were viewed as noteworthily exceptional in terms of weapon and hand-to-hand combat classifications. Matukai saw the weapon as an external concentration conduit to use in addition to their bodies, as well as a means of self-defense. The Matukai were nimble to the point of being able to dodge or deflect sizable portions of incoming strikes or shots aimed at them, exercising extraordinarily increased balance and perpetual stamina due to their connection to the Force. They were also known for their adaptability to any situation.

Philosophy
"The basic philosophies of the Matukai revolve around a balance and harmony between the spiritual aspects of the Force and the physical aspects of the body."

―Jedi vs Sith: The Essential Guide to the Force.

An ideal harmony between the physical aspects of the body and the spiritual aspects of the Force was a keystone of Matukai philosophy. Their robes, which were similar to Jedi robes apart from their green and light gray shade coloring, were designed to help achieve this equilibrium. The spiritual tenets of the Matukai included keeping the body clean and strong, purifying themselves through physical activity, while focusing on the Force through exercise and ceremony - avoiding the taint of the dark side. To fortify these tenets, a meditation band was sometimes worn by the Matukai as a possible deterrent from the influence of the dark side. Teachings in Matukai ideology emphasize imperturbable tranquility, a psychologically-set deterrence against negative influences that would normally prompt changes in mood or behavior, such as becoming flustered or upset. The perceptual results led to Matukai practitioners forming a permanent adaption to stress-free and relaxed states of mind. The additional intention behind this teaching was to allow the body to focus the Force with greater efficiency. Matukai philosophy advocated the use of meditative calisthenics and martial arts, physical exercises, and ceremonial introspection, in hopes of developing a spark of the Force - into a luminously-invigorating flame.

Training

Matukai instructors formulated a regimen of physical and mental techniques for apprentices to undertake during the course of their training, one carrying a strong emphasis on the physical aspects. Apprentices were frequently required to push themselves to the limit of their physical capabilities in the initial stages, and as they learned to tap into the Force during their approaching breaking points - they excelled beyond those limits implementing the Force as supplementary refreshment and fortification. Each lesson honed some aspect of a student's strength or endurance while also teaching about an aspect related to the nature of the Force. Another standard exercise for a Matukai was to stand in one stance for hours or even days at a time, sometimes in harsh weather conditions or other physical strain, in hopes of allowing the Force to flow through them in the process. As such, graduates of Matukai training were generally in excellent health due to their strenuous training and their newly enhanced connection to the Force. Upon completion of their training, Matukai received a distinctive tattoo covering their foreheads and the sides of their faces near the eyes.

Through discipline - and calisthenic martial meditation, unveil the Force.
With The Force, form imperturbability.
With imperturbability, achieve compositional improvement.
From compositional improvement, unlock the concealed self.
And with the concealed self, discover an inner-intricacy of uniqueness.

Goals
One of the goals among the Matukai is - that the physical body and celestial energy completely align with each other, making their bodies become one with the Force, resulting in intangibility requisites.

This perplexity goes largely unnoticed or overlooked; there's never more then sixty Matukai every generation, though it's not stipulated that the previous said 60 die - while it's affirmed that the Matukai chemical & molecular configuration counteracts the structural degradation process.

I couldn't upload the other images. I wonder if Yusanis has more information about this group somewhere.

Q's gonna love this.

Remember that Mendor Typhoons gauntlet I made on SWF where Zeilon (Star Wars Logic) flat out stated that Mendor Typhoons could curbstomp literally every other Star Wars character at the same time.

They're pretty good. Solid fighters, though interesting many of their special powers have more to do with body control rather than strait offense. Ultimately the best Jedi warriors are better (for a couple simple reasons, picking candidates of higher potential as well as delving deeper into force knowledge, as well as picking up techniques from a wider variety of sources including, ironically, the Matukai), but certainly not fighters to be taken lightly.
