Time Immemorial
In 1865 a Democrat shot and killed Abraham Lincoln, President of the United States.
In 1881 a left wing radical Democrat shot James Garfield, President of the United States who later died from the wound.
In 1963 a radical left wing socialist shot and killed John F. Kennedy, President of the United States.
In 1975 a left wing radical Democrat fired shots at Gerald Ford, President of the United States.
In 1983 a registered Democrat shot and wounded Ronald Reagan, President of the United States.
In 1984 James Hubert, a disgruntled Democrat, shot and killed 22 people in a McDonalds restaurant.
In 1986 Patrick Sherrill, a disgruntled Democrat, shot and killed 15 people in an Oklahoma post office.
In 1990 James Pough, a disgruntled Democrat, shot and killed 10 people at a GMAC office.
In 1991 George Hennard, a disgruntled Democrat, shot and killed 23 people in a Luby's cafeteria.
In 1995 James Daniel Simpson, a disgruntled Democrat, shot and killed 5 coworkers in a Texas laboratory.
In 1999 Larry Asbrook, a disgruntled Democrat, shot and killed 8 people at a church service.
In 2001 a left wing radical Democrat fired shots at the White House in a failed attempt to kill George W. Bush, President of the US .
In 2003 Douglas Williams, a disgruntled Democrat, shot and killed 7 people at a Lockheed Martin plant.
In 2007 a registered Democrat named Seung - Hui Cho, shot and killed 32 people in Virginia Tech.
In 2010 a mentally ill registered Democrat named Jared Lee Loughner, shot Rep. Gabrielle Giffords and killed 6 others.
In 2011 a registered Democrat named James Holmes, went into a movie theater and shot and killed 12 people.
In 2012 Andrew Engeldinger, a disgruntled Democrat, shot and killed 7 people in Minneapolis .
In 2013 a registered Democrat named Adam Lanza, shot and killed 26 people in a school.
As recently as Sept 2013, an angry Democrat shot 12 at a Navy ship yard. One could go on, but you get the point, even if the media does not. Clearly, there is a problem with Democrats and guns. Not one NRA member, Tea Party member, nor Republican conservative was involved in these shootings and murders. Don't believe me, look them up for yourself.

I find it deeply disturbing that its mainly the democrats who are always trying to take away our guns and civil liberties, yet they are the ones always using guns and killing people with them.

Have you tried to find a list of Republicans that have shot people? You can only draw a conclusion when you have both lists.

I cannot find such a list, these facts about these horrific shoots such as the president being shot are irrefutable correct? It has to do with a mindset, if they don't get their way, "hell kill em."
Ushgarak
Garfield was shot by a Republican supporter. Somehow I doubt this is an accurate list. Did you bother to check it?

I tend to agree with this. It seems the Republicans are more simplistic. They are also much more open about their evil agendas. The Democrats, though? They are the same as the GOP but they are far more hypocritical about it.
I'd rather get f*cked in the ass by a person who tells me that they are going to f*ck me in the ass rather than getting surprise buttrape.
However, a wise person, such as you Shakya, would probably say I'm a dumbass if I think neither is going to butt-rape me and I am naive for not expecting the butt-rape from the Dems.
Regardless, I am tired of both the GOP and the Dems. I think I could deal with the Official Libertarian Party or the Green Party in congress and the White House. How about some real change?

Touché. TE is not one to make those kinds of mistakes, however. He usually checks his sources because he doesn't generally trust the political shit slinging. I'll check up on the list in my free time because now you have me curious.
Edit - Ushgarak is correct. Goiteau was, at worst, a Republican supporter.
http://www.smithsonianmag.com/history/the-stalking-of-the-president-20724161/?no-ist
"Charles J. Guiteau, a mentally unstable 41-year-old lawyer, had stalked Garfield for months before shooting him at the Baltimore and Potomac Railroad station in Washington on July 2, 1881. Though Guiteau had passed the bar exam and used money from an inheritance to start a law firm in Chicago, he could never bring in much business beyond bill collecting, and he’d gotten in trouble more than once for pocketing what he collected. Turning to politics, Guiteau wrote a speech supporting former president Ulysses S. Grant as the Republican Party’s nominee for the 1880 campaign; when Garfield surprisingly captured the nomination instead, Guiteau revised his speech (mostly by changing references from Grant to Garfield) and delivered it on a few occasions to small audiences. He fell under the delusion that he was responsible for Garfield’s victory over Democrat Winfield Scott Hancock and immediately began pressing the president-elect for an appointment as ambassador to Austria."

Timothy McVeigh was registered as a Republican
Did find:

(have not checked the accuracy of that claim)

Ok so the Garlfield was mislabeled and is Republican.
Timothy used explosives, hardly what the issue is about though considering dems want to take away our guns. How many people have access to explosives, if that is a huge problem here, maybe those should be taken away and not guns.
Ushgarak
Ok, so how many of those exceptionally vaguely worded 'disgruntled Democrats' can you establish are actually Democrats?
EDIT: Seung Hui Cho wasn't even American, as far as I remember, let alone a Democrat- he couldn't have even voted for them.
This is a made-up nonsense list.

Why do we have to bother with American politics?
we don't have guns. and I don't feel less safe due to it.
And two of our presidents were killed. Can I blame it on democrats too?

Every new president I hear people cry "they want our guns!", granted, there are more tears when there is a Democrat POTUS or congress, but as of yet, people still have their guns.
But here's the problem, even if that list is accurate (it isn't btw) and wasn't fabricated and/or cherry-picked and Democrats do indeed love shooting people, not every registered Democrat is anti-gun, there are Democrats who also cry "they want our guns!" too.

Found the source: http://victoriajackson.com/9358/democrats-should-not-have-guns
Posted/Shared by a Lou Ann Zelenik "a Tennessee businesswoman and 2010 Republican Party candidate for the U.S. Congress in Tennessee's 6th congressional district."
"SOLUTION: It should be illegal for Democrats to own guns." Seems she's the one that wants to take guns away. Hypocritical? You decide
She seems like a Far Right nutter, imo. Went ape-shit when people tried to build an Islamic Community Center in Tennessee, claimed it was an "Islamic training center".

Are you serious, lol!
I got that in a email, I'll check the source later and get back to you.

If the Libertarian Party had better candidates, I might join them. But at least here in Oregon, they are so pathetic.

Another thing that this list doesn't address is that for most of its history, the Democratic party had more in common with the current Republican party than did the Republican party of yesteryear.
The current faces of the two big parties only came to be about 50 years ago. A Republican's platform in 1920, with the exception of a preference for fiscal conservatism and small government, would be wholly alien to today's GOP voters.

Documented sources are interesting. Non-polarized discussion of gun issues is interesting. This is a waste of time.

So your argument is that something my grandma would forward to me in an email, and something whose veracity is nonexistent, is a good use of your cognitive abilities and limited time on this Earth?
But sure, whatever. Let's talk about your list. It's terrible. We can't even begin to decode its veracity, except for a few glaringly awful falsehoods, it's a limited sample size, makes no attempt to draw a similar list for any other political faction, thus limiting its usefulness in an empirical debate, and, again, isn't factual or researched on even a cursory level. I feel dumber for having read it, and have less hope for our future.
Am I doing this right?

Yes. I agree its pretty wild list. Do you believe Sandy Hook actually happened? Because there is pretty much irrefutable proof that it did not happen.
