OK, same storyline as Starship Troopers, but Xenos are in place of the big ass bugs. Same numbers, just Xenos in place of the bugs. What happens?

Acid blood happens, Brah. Rico dies in the first encounter. Fact is, when Xenos are shot, acid blood flies everywhere. He gets a face full and becomes Dent.

Rico dies on Klendathu. He fights the same way he did there and he gets a face full of acid before the general retreat is sounded.

Those bugs showed higher resistance to Morita rifle fire than the Xenos did against the Marine pulse rifles. Also, the Xenos have no Tanker bugs (artillery backup), or Plasma bugs (they'd be defenseless against bombardment from space). As for acid spray: that's only a problem at close quarters combat.

The troopers would take their loses, fer shurr. But in the end, imo, the Xenos pose less of a challenge than the bugs.

Yeah, the bugs were tough as hell, but their blood was much thicker than Xeno blood. Xeno blood splashes much easier and will be everywhere.


Add on that the Pulse rifle is a much more powerful and faster firing weapon.

Lol! Did all the CMs get sprayed to death with acid when they were using explosive-tipped rounds? No, they didn't. The MI utterly decimate the smaller and less resilient Xenos; who have no fliers or tankers. MI win and easily take less than a third of the losses they too against the Bug swarms.

I can't be mad when you keep making threads that J. Rico can easily win.

Acid spray>>>MI. The bugs were also very fast, plus they attack from the air, from underground. They are so much more diversified and specialized than the Xenos. And acid spray wasn't that much of a problem for the CMs. IIRC, only Drake got hit, and that was from close quarters (maybe there was one more Marine, I don't remember).

Yeah, it will be much tougher for the Troopers if they go underground to attack Xenos on their "home" turf. They may even get their asses kicked, in that venue. But that would just be all the more reason to shift strategy and bombard from space, collapse the caves. Or use a mininuke underground, as was done against the bugs. The Colonial Marines never deployed any ordnance of that caliber.

I can't be mad when you keep making threads that J. Rico can easily win. The CM were either taken or sprayed with acid. "They're coming out of the walls!!!", remember? On Klendathu, the MI were next to clueless to the bugs and their fighting styles/habits. All they knew was "see bug, kill bug." It'll be the same here, except the Xenos will not stampede towards the MI, they will lay in wait in the caves and make the MI come to them. This is how the Xeno operate. UNLESS you are trying to change their habits. THAT would be riddonkulus. And no, the MI will not spam nukes into the caves, this is not how they use nukes. They use nukes against stampeding hordes of bugs.

So, as it stands, the MI cam bomb away all they want, but eventually they will have to enter the caves and face HUNDREDS of Xenos. Many MI will be taken and implanted with embryos. These will generate more than enough reserve Xenos to keep the fight going.
