Batman is an awesome martial artist with indomitable will and physical stats. The questions is, how much of his effectiveness is up to his skill and how much is up to his Bat suit/utility belt IYO?

Bats doesnt go into action without the suit 99.9% of the time, so when we discuss his MA feats, we're usually discussing him with a rather sophisticated support system in play.

his feats pre boot and DCnU would suggest that he is just as formidable without the weapons, refer to Court of Owls, he was able to beat the shit out of that Talon after days of no sleep or food/water IIRC and he had no weapons to help him out there. Pre boot theres tons of examples where he displays superior skill and MA knowledge against opponents. The gadgets serve to make his job easier and augment is fighting style but they are in no way a crutch for him.
