Skyfall turned out to be my top Bond movie, so I'm pretty hyped for this. This one seems like it's on a large scale than the previous ones (never seen Quantum of Solace).

Sweet, I wonder who he will be taking down this time.

Robtard
Craig's my favorite Bond and having Christopher Waltz as head of SPECTRE is pure epic wins all around.

Tzeentch
Hoping "I'm getting too old for this shit" isn't a central theme again.

BruceSkywalker
i enjoyed Skyfall a lot so looking forward to seeing this

Robtard
Faking his death and having a vacation seemed to have fixed that towards the end of the last one. This one will be "oh yea, I'm back and Bondier than ever", least it better be.

Wondering if they'll be the odd sexual tension between Bond and the new M (Fiennes), like there was with Dench

Well he admitted to having had gay sex in Skyfall so I don't see why not

Not sure that was Bond actually admitting to being bi, more so using what he had at his disposal to mentally **** with the villain

Think we'll get to see some man on man action in this flick?

Yeah Craig Bond is a homosex, that would explain his lack of trademark smooth bond womanizing persona .
Goddamn I hate Craig Bond.

Bond's not gay or bi

He's a sensitive, open-minded guy with an "any port in the storm" attitude.

KingD19
He actively tried to f*ck Moneypenny in Skyfall. And they found him practically surrounded by women. Homo...yeah right.

I'm not a very big 007 fan, but if Christoph Waltz is the bad guy then I'm all about it. Sign me up.

D.Craig has no charisma either, or charm, or wit like the old bonds before him. He is a generic cookie cutter, all business new age secret agent.

Just sounds like he's burned out from the intensity of what's gone into shooting the series. That I can believe. Even the turds that were films like Tomorrow Never Dies were worth watching and never really made you just want to switch off and leave the theater.

I dunno if I'd write it off just because of that. I know that Kristen "I only have one personality in all my films" Stewart's attitude about Twilght did add to my dislike for the franchise, though, so I can see where you're coming from.

I think his dislike of Bond is pretty hilarious.

Also kind of idiotic in the sense that it propelled him into consciousness. Can't really think of any big stand out Daniel Craig roles that solidify him as a "star" like James Bond would. So maybe he shouldn't shit where he eats.

Yeah. I didn't even remember that he was a team member in Munich until I watched it again sometime after seeing Royale and Solace. He was good in Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, but odds are he wouldn't have even been in the conversation for that had he not been in the picture from Bond. Again, it's just like pale face from Twilight, acting like life sucks because she'll forever be known for that role. Boo frickin' hoo.

tkitna
Havent seen it but heard it was horrible. I've been reading that its a combination of the worst of the 80's and 90's Bond flicks and the movie is boring and plods along. Also a lot of cross referencing with other movies. Damn. I had planned on seeing this, but probably wont now.

Patient_Leech
I never have been any more than a casual Bond fan, so I'll probably wait to see this installment. I found this review on RT funny...

You know, Connery wasn't a fan of Bond either. That's why they had to bring increasingly large wheelbarrows full of money to his favorite charities to get him going back.

I felt bored most of the film. Plot was a bit dry and convoluted.

Overall, I'd give this a 5 out of 10. Tomorrow Never Dies is a better Bond film than this one.

It's kind of funny that despite TND being cheesy in terms of the plot, anytime I catch it on and start watching I'll watch it all the way through. Same for Die Another Day. Brosnan did Bond right. It's not like the old Bond films are all cinematic masterpieces, but they are Bond films from start to finish.

Shame that it seems like Craig's Bond peaked with Skyfall.

Robtard
Caught this last night; thought it was alright overall. Loved the little shout-outs to the older Bond films.

Waltz was a bit of a letdown as the villain, was expecting so much more out of him, say a 10 and we got something more like a 7.

Craig is still my favorite Bond and his Casino Royale my favorite Bond film. Having said that, I feel they closed it well enough to retire him and reboot the franchise once again.

wakkawakkawakka
Isn't Craig on contract to do one more Bond film despite his open disdain for the role?

Robtard
He was signed for two more films after SF, so the studio could force him to do at least one more.

Hoping they don't, his story started with CR and ended with Spectre. Time to move on and reboot with the next guy.

ill have to disagree man.
Hes my least favorite bond. He just doesnt feel like Bond . He feels like a generic serious all business spy action star. I know how the bond books were meant to portray Bond, but that is simply not the case anymore after 40+ years of establishing the Bond movie verse persona.

Worst Bond for me barker

Call me old fashion but i love all the classic bond cheesy shit , creative silly vilains, suave womanizer, Gadgets, Charm and humor from all past bonds (except Craig)
This Craig (Bourne) reboot type persona, I cant get into. thumb down
If i wanted to see this type of movie ill just watch the bourne movies or any of the similar type spy movies that came out after bourne.
Bond movies had a certain charm and feel to them that is now lost with the Craig movies.

No worries. I grew up with Roger Moore being my most prominent memories of Bond and I still have a soft spot for those overly cheesy and often ridiculous films.

But Craig took everything (in my mind at least) Bond is supposed to be and amplifies it, my one grip is that none of his following films were as good as the first, Casino Royale.

If I had to redo my Fav to Least Fav right now:

Craig
Brosnan
Moore
Connery (though I don't recall these well anymore)
Dalton

Can't include Lazenby or Niven, the two Bond films I've not seen. Though I think I've seen parts of Lazenby's.

Fair enough.

For me its.

Brosnan, Moore, Connery (all 3 are in the top tier)
Dalton
Lazenby
Craig

You could rename the Craig movies "The Agent" and i dont think too many people would bat an eye. There are good high budget action movies.
They just dont feel enough like Bond to me.

I guess thats why I enjoyed "Kingsman" so much.
It basically was a better take on a modern Bond movie than the Craig Bonds movies.

Granted I havent seen "Spectre" yet. Im sure its a good action flick.

Yeah, i almost completely agree with you there. Growing up, i held no allegiance to any ONE actors portrayal of, bond but before, Craig it felt like every actor took each, preceding actors portrayal and added to it. Craig was the first actor that i felt tried to make the character his own I'm sure this also had a lot to do with certain Directors, but watching, Craig was the first time i felt like i was watching a sociopath forced into making "real" human decisions.

One of the most beautiful women on the planet, but she's 51, so the days of her showing skin let alone full on nudity are likely over. Hollywood has a history of not being kind to aging actresses.

wakkawakkawakka
She was in lingerie though so I'll take it. Besides it wasn't as disappointing as Waltz's villain considering all the potential/hype his character had.

just got back from seeing this.... it's a good movie but Skyfall is leaps better.. Waltz sucked as a villain. Bellucci must have needed a few dollars for her cameo appearance... Lea Seydoux was pretty decent though
