Let me know when Jaina is perfect.

Nephthys
Hmm, Jaina is an excellent duelist but lacks any Force feats that'll give her an edge over Kas'im outside of a duel. Kas'im is the more extensively trained and in pure swordsmanship he's superior and more talented imo. But Jaina has good skills in more unconventional combat and in the greater brawling aspects that the Post-OT era focuses much more upon. I'd say they're similar in speed, skill and Force power and it probably depends on how you judge the effectiveness of their strengths against each other. Will Kas'im's focused swordsmanship allow him to simply outduel Jaina or will Jaina's unconventional fighting give her the edge over Kas'im's restrictive methodology.

By the way, how extensive is Jaina's skill? Does she specialise in one of the new forms of lightsaber that the NJO created or is she a master of them all?

NewGuy01
Jaina's got a pretty unique style of her own, really. I'd just say that she's good enough that Darth Caedus mistook her for Luke Skywalker, tbh.

Nephthys
Well she was amped, and Caedus did remark that her style was unusual:

"His uncle had been using a new fighting style, one that he had never taught his students at the Jedi academy-one that he had never, as far as Caedus knew, used on anyone who had survived to describe it. The style was essentially conservative, brutal, and ruthless, designed to deal damage without suffering it-and not all that tricky."

So not sure that it was her skill that made him mistake them, so much as the illusion.

NewGuy01
Again, she was not amped lol. Vader said in RotJ that he was more powerful in the Force than he'd ever been, but no one's silly enough to insist that he was amped against Luke. Regardless, LotF wasn't even Jaina's peak in the first place, so I'm not sure why it matters.

Yeah, it was the illusion that was making him assume it was Luke, but the fact remains that she was capable enough to make it believable.

Nephthys
She was operating above her normal capacity. That's not arguable, she directly says it. That's the definition of being amped, dude. That she was doing it despite being in shitty shape further suggests an outside amp as does the suddenness of it vanishing after the fight and that she was being effected through the Force for sure.

DarthAnt66
Neph making nexus arguments for Jaina is lolworthy.

Nephthys
It wasn't a nexus, dummy.

DarthAnt66
Meh, *making amp arguments.

Kosmos Supreme
If Jaina can fight Caedus then Kas'im gets annihilated.

AncientPower
Fight? more like bisect him. Even a distracted Caedus is miles beyond Kas'im.
