They are to the point where if the pred is in range it will be a cinch, especially since nobody else is around. In a populated area I think he'd probably need something of the Pred's with the Pred's specific scent on it so he could get his unique scent and hone in on it, but if they are the only two people around..it's not going to be difficult for him to find him.
