But has zero regrets.

Harry Reid is so far up Obama's ass, he would do anything for him.

Lestov16
So that's one Democratic lie vs trillions of GOP lies. Does not seem proportionate.

In the spirit of the other thread, I think rather than slinging recriminations we should examine what Harry Reid actually said and determine how grave the dishonesty was. This one seems pretty underhanded, but to be perfectly honest I like that he's admitting what he did rather than trying to qualify it. Still shitty though.

I think it's also worth distinguishing a false accusation from a lie. I'm not saying one is better or worse than the other, but it's inaccurate to call a false accusation a lie as they're different things.

Omg really? He lied about someone else being a tax cheat.

NO! Democrats lie just as much as the GOP. They both do more evil then good.

The two party is a Janus. The same body with 2 contrarian heads. Perhaps the largest source of global warming, with their constant bickering of hot air.

Pretty sure Romney did have some tax shenanigans, while using every tax loophole known to man isn't outright illegal, him effectively hiding some of his fortune so he doesn't have to pay taxes on it is a shitty move and illegal.

311 Dunemere in La Jolla. The Romney home under construction.

The home, which Mitt and Ann Romney bought for $12 million in 2008, is not publicly listed. A project to tear down what was a 3,009 square-foot ranch house overlooking Marine Street Beach and build a two-story, 11,062 square-foot structure is expected to be completed by the end of this year.

Just a drop in the bucket this tax dodger has avoided paying in taxes. These people stink, and are the same types that will say with a straight face that there should be no minimum wage either. Disgusting.

Time Immemorial
So Al Sharpton who ones millions is exempt, because no one seems to be going after him, not even the coanser in chief.

Anyone remember Tim the tax dodger that was incharge of the federal reserve?

Tax havens, eh?

Well, in another thread, we talked about how it is okay for people like Romney to do things like that because everyone is doing it. But he's doing it less so he's better. Right? (I am not being serious)

Also, I am going to tax haven the f*ck out of my fortune if or when I get to that point. This is me being serious. As long as those tax loopholes exist to benefit the rich, I'd be a dumbass not to take advantage of them.

I would like the tax system reformed to be extremely simple: sort of flat tax but not quite. I liked the molester's, Herman Cain's, 9-9-9 plan. I wish he was elected president in 2012. It would be like Clinton's perversion mixed with long-needed tax reform.

I do have a question for you (specifically you, but for anyone): do you think Herman Cain would have been a good president? If so, why, if not, why? Be specific...

Or should I create another thread for this? That one website said I agreed with him on like 58% of the issues. Which is very bad but still better than others.

Al Sharpton being a degenerate doesn't excuse Romney of being one.

Using loopholes made by the rich to benefit the rich isn't illegal, as I noted. It's just shitty since it's made by the upper-haves to benefit themselves.

Hiding assets/wealth offshore to avoid paying taxes is both shitty and illegal.

To your question: Really don't know a lot about Cain except the outrageous stuff. ie he's a possible rapist. So I can't really comment on what type of President he could have made.

edit: Using my limited knowledge of the man, I can say he would have made a rapey President

What happened to two wrongs don't make a right? Does that only apply when the Democrats do something and not the GOP?

Sorry, but I just don't believe a politician would lie.

Red herring..What did Romey do that was wrong?

Be an unethical greedy scumbag who shouldn't be in charge of the country.

snowdragon
When even the Huffington Post comes out and calls you scummy as a democrat its time to leave office............

Reid lied on the senate floor because he was protected there, he should have been throw in jail for doing what he did.

Lestov16
In an age where 47 Republicans can commit blatant treason and sabotage of geopolitical peace, I'm not sure why I should flip out over this, which is comparatively miniscule.

Robtard
Exactly, we've become so dulled by our politicians lousy behavior that it takes more and more before you care. This is small beans in the bigger picture.

It's like what the internet did to our porn tolerance. There was a time where people could get off to just a nude picture. Now it takes a foursome involving one or more of the following: midget, goat, double-anal, nuns, food, obscenely large objects, to do it for us.

Yup, get them recalled or thrown in jail make sure they take hillary and they can all share a cell.

Outstanding point. I never thought in a million years I would be to talk on a phone and surf the net for porn at the same time on that very same Smart phone. Not so sure that technology is always good for us.

One? LOL. There's been a lot more than that. Remember this promise: "If u like your doctor, then you can keep your doctor."?

There's many more, of course. Both democrats and republicans are guilty of telling many lies but your claim that GOP republicans have told "trillions" more than democrats is hilarious.

Not any more of a crime than Obama granting amnesty to millions of illegals.

So Harry Reid admits that he lied on the floor, the Republicans (most of them) admit that they superseded their authority with that letter to Iran.

The moral of the story I guess is that partisanship is for retards. thumb up

Again, technically, false accusation. The operative difference being that with a false accusation you don't necessarily want people to believe you, you simply want to sow doubt around whomever you're accusing.

And once more, this is not me defending Harry Reid. As I said, it's shitty what he did. This is me contesting your use of the term "lie" in this case.
