The Avengers can't make it to New York in time. Fury has no choice but send in troops that Earth has not seen. Loki and his troops first spot 10 SPARTANS drop and land in Times Square. They are led by Master "John-177" Chief and Kelly-087. The other SPARTANS are a mix of SPARTAN-III & IVs. Blue Team has been reactivated.

A few minutes later a platoon of ODSTs under the command of Master Sergeant "Buck" land in Manhattan. Soon thereafter a battalion of UNSC Marines land and a platoon of Scorpion tanks and a company of Warthogs. Battle is on - absolutely no rules. Standard weapons compliment: MA5, "Pineapple" frag grenades & sidearm for the UNSC.

But on topic, don't think the UNSC troops will know how to deactivate the portal and Chitauri can keep on flooding in unhindered.
