Nothing to suggest anti-union movement from everything I have read, the closures were labeled as plumbing reasons.

I can't make sense of that statement- obviously that was about what the plumbing could be a cover for, if you insist upon that being a cover story. There is some evidence to suggest it is an anti-union move, if you look around the mainstream news. Personally, I'm not suspicious about it just being plumbing,

However, as the source itself about the military thing has disowned this story (hence my point about the editors' note), any more talk along those lines is off-topic (use the thread in the conspiracy area for that)

The track record for conspiracy predictions is such that this is ignorable. The ones attempting prediction hop from one to the next until one sticks (or, often, they just keep hopping). Ya know, some conspiracy is true. With the thousands out there, I'd say it's a statistical near-certainty. But there's so much non-empirical, rumor and speculation-filled noise that it becomes impossible to parse any of it. There's a skepticism at the heart of conspiracies that's actually admirable. But more often than not, it's merely trading one baseless idea for another, or at least latching onto one more quickly than is prudent.

On topic, corporations lying is nothing new (though certainly not on the martial law level of deception). I wouldn't be shocked if the plumbing thing is indeed a cover. But sitting at our computers, with so much sh*t swirling around about the topic, can anyone really claim dominion over something resembling certitude? So here we are, discussing what is likely a murky labor dispute, with very few of the facts that are likely informing the actual events. Not a good use of anyone's time.

After Obama is finally out-of-office might be a good time for starters if you're so determined to set some kind of time limit just so you can say "I told you so". So 2017 at the earliest. If Obama declares martial law for whatever reason then that will allow him to stay in office indefinitely. Not a pleasant thought that's for sure.

Just like the last 4-5 times this was stated, it's not actually true. There are set laws/rules should a President elect not exist when the sitting President's second term ends; it's not "Obama 4Ever".

Their subsidiary in the UK, ASDA, is on the verge of collapsing due to a disastrous restructuring since being hammered by discounter retailers since the 2008 financial collapse. Same with their main rivals Tesco Who are about to post one of the biggest losses in UK corporate history

It's not to say I told you so. I have no interest in petty oneupsmanship on the internet. I was just curious at what point you'd realize it's an outright lie...just as my question asks.

However, what you're probably not realizing is that it's not political allegiances that cause me to disagree with you on this; if Obama really were planning this, it would not just be Republicans against him. But it's logical gaps in the entire concept that put it well beneath serious concern.

Absurdly well. I think UK and Germany are the only countries where they've done poorly. They're also making a killing in China and Mexico.
