Apparently Cronal (a Prophet of the Dark Side) who was trusted as Palpatine's secret agent had a far greater knowledge of the Dark Side that Vader. Does this mean Cronal is above Vader?

Anyway, I don't think Cronal's capable of withstanding a TK blast or a duel against Vader. And he's not a noted duelist at all. That said if he had the messtif stone and his other neat gadgets he could give Vader a hard time. Entrap him a rock like he did Han and then assault Vader's mind. Though that's with his full equipment. And even then idk if that'd work

One is from Cronal's perspective and thus frankly means nothing. The other talks about their dark presence and Vader wasn't pure evil. Not to mention when Luke last senses Palps before this book Vader was just redeemed making the quote absolutely useless for a comparison to Vader.

Cronal being more powerful than Vader is silly, almost as silly as Cronal being able to manipulate Palpatine.

True. but in terms of knowledge Cronal has displayed powers that Vader has never used/been suggested to know.

Does anyone have any real counter arguments as to why Vader is stronger than Cronal besides just ignoring all Cronals credentials.

- stated to rival Kar Vastor in power (who was compared to Windu, Yoda and Anakin)

Vader was stated as being far more powerful than Kar Vastor.

Cronal has the Sunset Crown that amplifies his powers, and if you look at the quote its only Kar Vastor being enhanced by meltmaasif
