And i suppose Clones of Doomsday and Sun eaters are also a joke right?? I realize I'm talking pre Flashpoint feats but Boosters shield pre FP also stopped those dead in it's tracks. even the feats of Danny facing the immortal warriors don't have anything that penetrates protection like that.

Here's the way I see it:

Initially, Booster has the shield down because rules about active powers. Rand's fast, but I'm not sure if he's fast enough to rush him or chi attack him before he switches his shield to on.. (Rand's about Spidey speed, and Spidey could got webbing on Sue before she raised her shield. But that could just be CIS on Sue's part, forgetting to raise her shield until he's right on top of her..)

If Booster gets his shield up, then it's a question of whether he can hit Rand before his power cells run dry.

Either way, Danny's not breaking Booster's shield. Not before he flies into the air, at any rate.
