Pikkon, imo.

He seemed to be just as good of a fighter as Goku.

I'll go with Piccolo. After merging with Kami, he's been able to last against significantly stronger opponents like the Cell Jr. or Broly. Being able to go toe to toe with someone with infinite ki like Android 17 is pretty damn good as well for someone that ain't a Saiyan. Regen probably would help too.

Krillin, Yamcha, and Tien lasted against the Cell Juniors as well. Broly is non-canon. Stalemating #17 was definitely impressive, though.

But where fighting ability is concerned, Pikkon seemed every bit as skillful as Goku--and I view Goku as a higher-tier fighter than Piccolo.

Piccolo was weaker than goku and broke everyone of his limb's bones in their fight. Piccolo was also weaker than Goku when he killed Raditz after Goku failed to do so. In fact the only reason Goku has ever beat Piccolo is that Goku has had around 15% power higher than him.

So yeah you'd be wrong.

All of them got knocked out. Piccolo was left standing. Granted Cell was only impressed with Trunks and Vegeta but at the very least Piccolo's durability against stronger opponents is impressive.


I was under the impression that if we talk about anime only characters then anime only feats are applicable.



Which is a solid argument but tough to prove too though.

It needs to be mentioned that Piccolo knows more techniques.

It's hard to gauge the Cell Juniors, though. They were definitely powerful overall--moreso than ASSJ Vegeta/Trunks, even. However, they also *must* have been pulling their punches against the Z Fighters, as there is NO WAY Krillin, Yamcha, Tien, and yes, even Piccolo could have endured repeated all-out strikes from them without being either insta-KO'd or killed.

Anywho, Goku and Pikkon fought, and Pikkon had unquestionably gained the upperhand by the end of the fight. It was only when he used his Thunder Flash Attack for a 3rd time that Goku was able to exploit its 'weak point', and beat him with a cheap shot--and even then, it required IT for him to exploit(which Piccolo obviously does not have.) Prior to that, Pikkon was definitively beating Goku... Which is something only an upper-echelon fighter can do.

And as far as toughness is concerned, Pikkon tanked a 'Super Kaioken' punch from Goku--which would've packed the power of a SSJ2.

He's the top fighter because of Heartforce, not skill

Piccolo would waste Pikkon at equal power level. Strech, regeneration, special beam cannon (which can charge fairly quickly since Cell Saga) and he has namekian fighting style which is pretty much the most efficient style of KI fighting seen in DB/Z. Goku knows this, Kung Fu and (Kame Senin stlye?) and still has a hard time beating a weaker Piccolo.

Yeah, at equal PL, Piccolo beats pretty much anyone, tbh. He's got more skill, techniques, and magic, as well as other unique abilities that make him capable of hurting people that are much stronger than him, let alone people equal to him. Such as the special beam cannon, regeneration, TK, etc. Not to mention that he can survive off of nothing but water, which Pikkon presumably cannot. Piccolo can fight in outer space. And he can also use paralysis, as well as a plethora of ki based attacks, that range from homing blasts, to energy manipulation, that even lets him absorb ki, and blast it back at his enemy(movie only though, iirc).
