the same escape-hatch excuse exists for any opinion piece but imho cnn is profiting off of baseless propaganda and smearing a movie franchise. there should be standards. i know there are none with cnn, but there should be.

The Pentagon and those in charge of intel, know exactly where and whom ISIS is. The problem is that China and Russia have told the USA and NATO hands off Syria, don't go there or trouble will reign upon us. Add in the Ukraine deal and that China is provoking the Phillipines with island territory disputes, it's problematic to do the right thing.

It is time to clean up the crap in Syria, Ukraine and the South China Sea and kick some major ass and force the cost of the barrel of oil to $25.

This would cripple Russia econonmy as they tax oil to provide social benefits to their citizens.

But yeah staying on topic, it appears that CNN is engaged in some sort of fluff puffery piece of journalism. That is why I go with BBC News and AL Jeerza and The Economist for real journalism. Even the Wall Street Journal and New York Times are just a tad better than CNN.
