VS.
Mr. Buu

-Vegeta starts at full power.
-No transmutation or absorption for Mr. Buu.
-Battle takes place on the Kaioshin World.
How's it go?

Considering that ugly-and-grey-as-phuck Buu took the majority of the power, Vegeta.

Mr. Buu did pretty well against Pure/Kid Buu. /shrug

Mr. Buu got trashed by Kid Buu though. Giving this to Vegeta though.

Vegeta got trashed even worse, and that was after a Zenkai.

Is that "Mr. Buu" the same one that fought Evil Buu? Sure, he looks the same but so did Fat Buu when he was first released.
carver9
Vegeta didn't go Super Saiyan 2 against Kid Buu either. We seen how Super Saiyan 2 performed against Kid Buu (Goku) and Goku admitted that Vegeta and him were the same when they both were Super Saiyan 2's.

Um... Yes, Vegeta was SSJ2 when he fought Kid Buu.
Goku never fought Kid Buu as a SSJ2.
He immediately went SSJ3.

Anyway, I'm giving this to Vegeta. Majin SSJ2 should be strong enough to kill Mr. Buu, given that he nearly killed Fat Buu, and Mr. Buu is less than half as strong as him. Although... He'd probably have to kill himself... Making it a draw.

Vegeta did go SSJ2 against Kid Buu. You can see it in both manga and the anime.
Wut? As Gogeta said, Goku used SSJ3.

And in the anime, we get the final proof when he has the elecrical aura during the ki blast spam:

Uh, you two realize that's OBVIOUSLY SSJ1 lightning, right?

Exactly.
Mr. Boo did better than Ssj2 Vegeta against Kid Boo, and since it is Majin Vegeta = Ssj2 Vegeta post Majin in power, Mr. Boo takes this, and even quite easily, giving his haxed abilities and his regenerative capabilities.
Galan007
When was it stated that post-resurrection SSJ2 Vegeta was more powerful than before... Let alone on par with SSJ2 Majin Vegeta..?

Aside from what Galan said, I don't think Mr. Buu did much better, if at all. He got in a few ineffectual attacks, then got beaten down.
And it was pretty obvious Kid Buu was toying with everyone he fought, so any concept of "better" is hard to determine, when NO ONE really threatened him.
I mean, you could say SSJ Vegeta did better vs Bills then Goku, as people have in past posts, but that's obviously garbage.
Galan007
I think you lost yourself in that argument. Literally nothing there implies that SSJ2 Vegeta(post-resurrection)=SSJ2 Majin Vegeta. If anything, it implies the former was much weaker than the latter.

Vegeta was still dead when he faced Kid Boo as a Ssj2, while he was resurrected only after the Namekians gathered the DB: resurrected Vegeta =/= Ssj2 Vegeta at Kid Boo.
Resurrected Vegeta was weaker than before, true, how do we know this? Because AT (Goku) tells us (the quote in the previous post).
On the other hand, nothing was said about the (dead) Ssj2 Vegeta who faced Kid Boo, so it is safe to assume his power didn't change compared to the last time we saw him (Majin Vegeta) because, indeed, nothing in the manga states that Ssj2 Vegeta (at Kid Boo) is =/= Majin Vegeta in power.
Hope it is more clear now.

Galan007
That makes no sense. The entire reason Vegeta wanted the Majin-amp in the first place was to make him more powerful than he was in his 'regular' state... Substantially more powerful, in fact.
Why would I assume that his regular state inextricably became a lot more powerful(post-resurrection), and was on par with his amped Majin state? Literally no evidence is suggestive of this.
I do not need to prove a negative. none
juggerman
Maybe his body retained the amp power like Goku did with SSG?
Galan007
I could buy that if it would have been implied *somewhere*.
juggerman
I implied it just now

I do not need to prove a negative. none Zenkai?
Also I know it was stated, but Mr Buu certainly didn't seem less powerful than when he first appeared. At least after he went back into Buu and then got ripped out. The Evil Buu fight was bad though.
If his power was split or he was lower than half power than he should have done a lot worse than he did. Seems it either got dropped or he got back to original power when he went back into Buu. Though a lot of shit in that saga didn't make much sense.
If his power was his original power after the Super Buu tear then he should win the same. If his power was less than half then he should get stomped.
As for this thread Vegeta should win pretty easily since it is definitely a split Buu.

Ok, I see now what you mean.
I personally have always considered the Majin boost as a potential unlock and since nothing in the manga was implied against it or against Vegeta keeping the power-up, I've always considered Ssj2 Vegeta post-Majin to be equal to Majin Vegeta as far as battle power goes.
However, now that you say this, I could actually also agree with your point of view, since nothing either in the manga implies that Vegeta retained the Majin boost.
At this point, I think it's up to personal interpretation:
- If Ssj2 Vegeta post-Majin = Majin Vegeta, Majin Vegeta loses this fight against Good Boo.
- If, on the other hand, it's Majin Vegeta > Ssj2 Vegeta post-Majin, I can see the Majin prince having a power advantage over Good Boo, and thus winning this contest.
