I'm leaning team two.

Dooku takes the Hero and Cade takes Malgus.

I'm open to arguments for either team winning.

Team 2. Malgus can beat either and I think the Hero can too. Or at least Cade.

Am I going to have to explain the rest of my post to you as well? The word "team" refers to two or more people working together, the number 2 is a number. It comes after 1 but before 7. Malgus is an ugly bald widower and by " can beat either" I'm referring to him defeating either Dooku or Cade in combat. Feel enlightened yet?

Malgus is powerful, but not skilled enough to take down Dooku.

Not skilled enough in what?

As a duelist, obviously. And his strength edge isn't sufficient compensation.

But he is also quite a bit more powerful than Dooku and just better with the Force in general. His supposed inferiority as a duelist is mitigated by his armor allowing him to tank some damage until he throttles Dooku with TK.

Based on what?

Based on him tossing around 2 combatants with near/equal/above-Dooku level power, bringing them to their knees and ragdolling one of them? Based on his lightning being much much more powerful than Dooku's? Based on him telepathically affecting the Swtor protags, all of which possess immense mental strength? Based on his Force Maelstrom ability? Based on him achieving an apparent oneness with the darkside?

You mean tossing them when they evidently weren't prepared to be genuinely defending themselves, and to no ultimate consequence?

His Lightning is probably only better by a slight amount at most. Dooku's Lightning being "far from easy" for Yoda to catch and throw back puts him within range of Malgus's Lightning for certain, though I will admit that killing a trio of Jedi with a burst of Lightning supersedes killing a group of Zabrak or Kiffar warriors. To be fair, Dooku also killed Ventress with Lightning in canon.

His TP is great but inflicting doubt ultimately didn't do anything. I see no reason to suggest it would enjoy greater success on Dooku.

Oneness with the Dark Side or Oneness by virtue of the Dark Side is just the definition of retarded. Not going to bother with that.

Unless he;s just that fast or something. But anyway, Malgus' other TK feats still indicate he's more powerful than Dooku.

It's "nearly impossible" to deflect lightning at all, so that doesn't prove anything. Also I consider Malgus blasting through the lightsaber defenses of the Jedi in The Third Lesson and burning holes through his body through the defense to be better than killing those Jedi, personally. Either way though, you're not accounting for the massive increase in power he gained after both feats. Before hand Leneer blocked his lightning in mid air and afterwards he one-shot her with it. So if you think that Malgus' lightning was indeed better even before that, then afterwards it'd be much moreso.

It's indicative of superiority and overall greater power.

Whatever you think, it's the truth that Malgus achieved new heights of power by strengthening his connection to the darkside dramatically. Call it what you want, but Malgus clearly has a greater darkside connection than Dooku.

All added up, this paints a clear picture to me. Malgus is more powerful than Dooku is.

Gameplay mechanics; not that ragdolling high-tier Force Users isn't something Dooku has done before.

Willpower won't help you avoid telepathy, only deal with it. I'm not sure what you're specifically referring to, though?



You mean the one he's never used in combat, and generally would be more effective in a battle against multiple opponents than in a duel?

Obviously the animations of a video game are going to be less convincing than a description from a novel or a panel of the comic strip. Still, if Malgus was really just capable of doing that to them, his superiority in the Force would appear quite extreme and I doubt he would've lost.



Hardly. Less powerful beings like Revan have absorbed charged-up Lightning pretty easily.

Also, I was accounting for the power increase. Any disparity before would've been minimal or negligible, IMO, especially with Dooku's Ventress feat. Malgus's Lightning wouldn't grow by such proportions so as to outclass Tyranus's entirely.



Malgus' superior TP isn't indicative of overall greater Force power anymore than Dooku's wider array of Force powers and mastery of those powers is.



It's just bad writing.



Not really, and certainly not by a sufficient margin to eclipse Tyranus' considerable superiority with a blade.
