Probably Piccolo.

When Gotenks' fusion timed out inside of Buu, he reverted to the traits of Piccolo, not the kids. This tells me that Piccolo had more to offer Buu than either of the kids individually... Which means he was likely more powerful than them.

Ah, very good point.

Personally, I'm fine with the kids being > Piccolo as Super Saiyans... But I also think they are a LOT more powerful than most around here give them credit for, so... /shrug

Plus, the kids impressed Gohan and Vegeta. Seriously impressed them.

While Goku pretty much came across like he was being polite to Piccolo.

^ Hell yeah the kids impressed the adults...

-Trunks/Goten nearly overwhelmed Vegeta/Gohan during their brief sparring sessions.

-As Mighty Mask, they left #18 awestruck at the power of one of their suppressed blasts.

-SSJ Trunks' cheap-shot-kick did a whole lot more to Fat Buu than SSJ Gohan's did.

Again, I tend to think of them in a in a greater light than most, so I'd probably have them around the level of Semi-Perfect Cell, on average... Maybe a little below that. So IF this isn't Buu-era Piccolo(I assumed it was, for whatever reason), then the kids win, imo.

Thought the same. Not sure, though. Wouldn't Buu be able to control the ones he ate to some extent, so he could use their whole power? Forcibly making them SSJ "inside" him or whatever?

Impossible to say. The only beings we saw Buu absorb with distinct power-increasing transformations were the boys... And when Goku/Vegeta found them, they were in their base states.

Since I imagine that Piccolo became stronger between the Cell and Buu sagas, he and the kids *might* be around the same level--though I'd give each kid the nod in the power dept. However, Piccolo is far and away the superior fighter, and that would even out the odds substantially.

I still believe the kids win, though, simply by virtue of this being a 2 vs. 1 scenario.

Piccolo can outsmart and out fight the boys. I think they would be on par in power but Piccolo's intelligence and skill net him the win imo

After they merged, Piccolo became a good bit stronger than ssj Vegeta. After that he went into the to of spirit time and had another substantial increase, just not enough to do anything against Cell.

I know the kid trained in the room too, even if it was more centered to powering up Gotenks, they mustve gotten a lot stronger too...I think itd be fair to say Piccolo edges them out .

I think the kids were a good bit stronger than Piccolo, tbh. Aside from the feats I mentioned earlier(which I don't think Piccolo could duplicate), his shocked expression + nervous-sweat when he sensed their full power is indicative of such, imo:

The only thing that might make this a decent battle is Piccolo's skill-edge. He's outclassed otherwise.

I attributed the amazed expression to the fact that they were so strong as kids myself. Gohan and Vegeta had similar ones when they found about Goten and Trunks being able to become super saiyans.

You know what would be awesome? Piccolo getting a SSJGod level powerup, and picking a fight with Vegeta over all those Nameks he killed. "I haven't forgotton what you did, and won't ever forgive. And now it's payback time."

If their power would have been below his own, he wouldn't have been been nearly as awestruck by them, imo. Look at Goku in the same scene, for example--he didn't seem very impressed at all. He even said "Is that it..?", lol.

Yeah, that's what I was saying pretty much. Their power surprised both Gohan and Vegeta too.

Thats true. Without a doubt, they were on a comparable level, it's just hard to gauge by reactions. Because of their age and the general shock their power produced for most, it's hard to take it like that for me. /shrug

Goku being the strongest character in the series at the time of that would probably be why too though.

Idk, its hard to say. Oh, Piccolo's reaction to the boys' power isn't necessarily why I think they're above him. Their sparring sessions with Vegeta/Gohan, and Trunks' showing against Fat Buu, is why I think they're >. Piccolo's reaction just gives more depth to those showings.

Pretty sure it was stated that both kids were only around Freeza's level individually. Piccolo from the Android saga onwards was anywhere equal to or greater than an average Super Saiyan form, and Piccolo isn't the type in my eyes to neglect at least some form of training in times of peace.

2. Kids. Piccolo could probably take them on individually but not as a duo.

He's probably talking about that DBZ special where they fight Avo and Cado.

They fought Abo/Cado in their base states, though... And they were still way stronger.

Yeah it's a total misinterpretation.

Especially since it's those two who were said to be equal to Frieza not the boys.

Dragon Ball Z is pretty much Piccolo reacting to everything that happens. XD
