First I'd like to thank leo for hosting/posting this little bz. Second, good luck to my opponent Supermutie. Lastly good luck to me.

Since this bz is only a 4 post max, I'm going to get right to the point and avoid adding too many fillers here.

Most of you already know Nova Prime and some of his exploits. I'll leave it as that in regards to him, but will slowly uncover his capabilities as this thread moves along.

My character opponent is Monica Rambeau. Aka Spectrum, Photon, Pulsar, and even Captain Marvel. She is superfast, manipulates various forms of energy along the electromagnetic spectrum, can go intangible in light form, etc., etc. For those of you unfamiliar, here's more backup info.

She is one tough cookie. However having said all that, she will not win here. For all her power and versatility, she is tailor made for Nova Prime.

Prep
Not much here as per the agreed upon prep allowance. Gravimetric shields max! Let's say a full body grav shield and the option to expand after prep. Here's a little taste of NP's shielding capability.

Plan
Due to prep, grav shields to max are up as soon as I'm in the battlefield. I'm then instantly tracking my opponent via WM, speeding around the planet(Mogo is battlefield) at my maximum flight speed while keeping as much distance away from my opponent. From this position, I have multiple options and combos to take her down. Grav pulses, energy absorption, grav bubble/node...

Multitasking
Now it all comes down to multitasking. With my grav shields up, I'm prepared for anything she throws at me and I have a whole host of options she has no counter for. It's all about multitasking, multitasking, multitasking.

How? Worldmind. With WM directly feeding into my cerebellum, I can target, scan, calculate, perform tactical analysis at supercomputer speeds. And Worldmind is virtually second to none as supercomputers go in the Marvel U.

Speed

Banned Powers: Reality Warp, Time Manip., Duplication, Power Copying, Autonomous Constructs (tech or magic), Memory Retention

Note: Space Manipulation, Matter Manipulation, and the Speed Force is allowed provided that the drafted characters are low herald and below.

Functional Immortals are Banned: Functional immortals such as Lobo, Mr. Immortal, Deadpool are disallowed or voided.

Standard Gear Rule Character comes in with what he is historically known for caring.

Non standard gear must be created you NOT grab it from your lab, and equip yourself with it.

BFR is banned.

Self BFR is only good for phasing.

Good for 1 second.

Celey has a former tourney winner and a top pick at this tier (if not above) in Nova Prime.

So this should be quite a match-up, Celey is definitely gonna see the light after this one.

Meanwhile I have the Hottest chick in the game with the nicknames.

So Judges you can vote for Photon, Pulsar, Captain Marvel, Spectrum, Day Star, Lady of Light, etc as long as you vote for Monica Rambeau.

And here's why you should vote for her:

1. I'm sure my opponent will raise shields. I will counter that by instantly going into energy form when the bell rings, and split my energy form into several miniature energy forms that are under my mental command.

As you can see each miniature MR (Monica Rambeau) is able to react and fly at light-speed against "a thousand attacks at lightspeed." They are also intangible and doesn't cause MR any strain. She was able to quickly break free of the force field. Also note how this super genius monkey created by Red Ghost designed the force field to shift at random wavelengths and still it wasn't enough to hold MR.

Great match-up. Since my ability to phase through and disrupt advance alien tech systems is key here, allow me to re-emphasis and add some details from my OP.

The scans below show how Servitor Robots were giving Thor all kinds of trouble, with their ability to regenerate and multiply. MR was able to phase thru and drain it's extra dimensional energies, ultimately destroying it in one shot.

Even with a fully functioning Worldmind, Nova would not be able to keep pace with MR reflexes and combat speed. His attacks would be dodged if they could harm her, and she has dodged a thousand light speed attacks in a confined area as shown in the very first couple of scans. But, Nova doesn't have the close quarters speed feats to evade MR's light-speed phasing attacks.

Energy Absorbtion

Celey's scan shows Nova being in significant pain from just absorbing the gun blasts of some cannon fodder. It definitely did way more harm to him than his enemies.

For all Monica's power, she has some glaring weaknesses when it comes to an opponent like Nova Prime.

That version of Nova had just a miniscule portion of the Nova force compared to Prime levels which pointed I already pointed out in my original scan. Him having trouble with absorbing energies was due to the fact that he was still in the beginning stages of using that ability. Both instances happened in one issue. Keep in mind also he does not have the benefit of WM assisting in any way when using his absorbing abilities. As the series went on, he made huge strides with his ability to absorb energies including ones that were incredibly exotic.

Now lets move on to Worldmind and tracking. I firmly believe she has no real option against the type of opponent that Nova represents. At the onset of the battle, I'm already zipping around the planet at my top flight speed, while calculating and tracking her every move at supercomputer speed due to WM directly feeding info into my brain. Basically we are of one mind.

Btw she did not break out quickly. She was a prisoner for some time. She was not able to beat the changing energy pattern, but instead took advantage of a tiny weakness by testing the integrity of different points of the sphere. And she was not significantly drained since the monkey specifically stated that he wanted to drain her slowly.

I will know her approach and know what kind of energies she is using. How you say? Through my extensive scanning abilities. That knowledge will give me an incredibly huge advantage with counters like energy drain and straight up gravimetric pulses.

It's debatable that she can even bypass Nova's gravity powered shields considering it's not your traditional energy based ones.

For example she has found problems with exotic fields and shields. Sometimes outright stopped.

Annihilus's tech based null-field has given her a hard time. She only pierced it later in the issue by travelling as far as the sun then sling-shotting back with the aid of a star-core satellite.

Just because someone is from the future, it doesn't mean they have better tech.

She bypassed that planet shield by destroying one of the satellites which was a part of the "tapestry" making up the entirety of the shield. Like pulling a card out of the base if a house of cards. Not that impressive.

Monica did not absorb extra-dimensional energies with the Servitor. She simply blew it up from the inside. And Thor having trouble with them is laughable since he literally just destroyed a whole army of them with a huge lightning shot.

You're not seriously comparing these weak feebs to Nova Prime are you? Even I don't think you believe he can overload Richie.
Check out the Deathstorm scan again to refresh your memory. You know... Surface big enough to encircle the earth many times. Since I can smell you coming a mile away, you are liable to be energy drained or just flat out eat a gravimetric pulse. Or both. Take your pick.

4. Worldmind is done, he is weak to that radiation as previously shown. WM went offline and had to reboot, with my light speed reactions that's all I need. A second or less mess up your systems. Plus there's nothing you can do to stop me from hitting with that radiation over and over again and at point blank range. Remember what WM got was just a faint dose over thousands of miles away if not more. Nova was still 6 mins away from Hala even with his travel speed.

MR is coming at Nova with lightspeed with a hundred or some mini intangible mrs at point blank range. WM will be rebooting every second, meanwhile MR is phrasing and blasting Nova to a ko or death.

I will touch on some scans you showed w/o beat a dead horse. All your Monica scans shows a much less experience, less powerful and not upgraded version compared to what Spectrum is currently.

Basically Kang can get any tech from any time from any timeline. So whatever he does shielding/trapping wise is far out of the capacity for Nova. And MR has had success against his shields and tech anyway. MR was able to overload the Wrecking Crew and destroy the device that was siphoning away her powers. So thanks for showing that. Quasar was also drained from those energy vampires who also use a gas substance. Don't see how that helps Nova.

You brought up the old nova scans, then complain when I showed the correct context.

Don't know why you continue to reference Gladiator. This is what happens when mohawk man doesn't hold back against Nova Prime and the Nova Corps.

Basically we learn that Spectrum wins.

Harrow did not easily break free from a low level gravity node. It learned while it was detained. It wasn't until much later that it started killing again. And the idea that Nova could not capture it again is false. In fact it's more likely he was going to capture it again with a more powerful gravity node if not for one of the fleeing starships drive ignition interrupting him from doing so.

If anything it was extremely powerful since it was feeding on a whole planet full of people who were experiencing such pain, fear, and terror. You know... Nova does not use standard energy shields. He uses gravimetric shields. Going by feats, at max levels I'm more inclined to bet on them keeping her out. At the very least long enough to severely weaken her with energy drain or disrupt her form with a powerful gravimetric pulse.

And btw your Firelord scan... Through sheer power, he helped buckle the shield with his onslaught. It is a shared feat for Monica since he attacked while she was producing the electric storm ultimately overloading the shield. It's more than once now I've corrected you on some of your interpretations.

Drax and Gamora? Should I even bother? Here's also a tidbit about that scene. You do know he only had access to 17% of the Nova force due to the phalanx transmode virus right? You also just cited one of the best durability feats ever in a comic. The next few pages has him diving straight into a neutron star causing a massive gravity quake for crying out loud! At 17 phukkin percent capacity! Are you serious?

I'm sorry, but endo-syn armor is no Nova Prime both in power and in capability. It's just not.

And I'm not here to "absorb" Monica in her entirety. I'm here to drain her so as to weaken her enough for my finishing moves. And if I was to absorb her fully, you think that will stop Richie considering what he has been able to go through? All the stuff he has been put through? Heck if the Phalanx couldn't take him, you think she can mess him up internally? That's a resounding no.

Well Monica may have been "upgraded", but evidently you have proven that she is still susceptible to being manipulated through energy drain as per your scan with Iron Man.
There's also that instance in which she was totally phukked up by Proxima Midnight in her energy form. When facing an opponent like Nova Prime, her energy form is more a detriment to her than an advantage.

We go by feats here. Kang can get the most advance tech in the universe, but if it does jack shiet how impressive could it be?

You showed context that was somewhat irrelevant since Nova at that time literally just tried absorbing energy on those two instances(literally issue #1 of that run).. Which I alluded to by the way before you even showed your "context". I even followed those up with an absorbing feat that was so far and away more impressive so as to show his growth in that ability.

All those scans were to show that energy drain is a very real threat to her.
To drive that home to the judges, here's even more examples.

Good job on showing Gladiator beating up on a rookie Nova Prime who's not even Richie. You do know that Malik Tarcel was barely even a Nova let alone a Prime? Richie has no problems going toe to toe against Strontians.

Here Richie is in complete control against Xenith until he gets distracted. Xenith thinking she now has the upper hand doesn't realize that Richie was consulting his "Novapedia" to end the fight quickly ffter learning his brother was alive after all.

Your scan shows the energy she already hit him with before Mar-vell was able to erect his shield. It's right there in your own scan. I won't have that problem since my shields are at max levels from the get go.

-Richie has trapped intangibles and can trap them again with increased power grav nodes.
-His shields can tank attacks with amped reality warpers and enraged cosmic powerhouses.
-Nova's flight speed even though is capped at light can actually go superluminal with utter ease.
-Worldmind can be briefly knocked off-line by incredibly powerful radiation waves from power sources that can shield multiple star systems.. Don't know how that's a positive for you.
-Nova has multiple tools in his arsenal in which he can use to ultimately take you out.
-Planet destroying hard light won't do much when it crashes into shields that make planet busting mere child's play.



Now we've got all that out of the way. Now comes the double left hook you never saw coming...

c) Now why in the world would I bring up these two points when Nova is not a telepath you ask? Correct he is not. However the Worldmind gives him an ability that will give what I feel a useful advantage in this fight. He can instruct WM to peer into Monica's mind and even glean a lifetime of memories which he will then use for the sole purpose of distraction. Say a very distinct fear for example. I will bombard her with memories of that fear. Between two really fast characters, causing someone to lose focus even for a few moments can be dangerous.
