Its actually better than light speed reactions, his amulet (a skyfather weapon aimiliae ro thoe) auto attacks an enemy or blasts at ls, basically absorbing it.

Dr. Strange has always had auto shields, same as a Green Lantern and as effective, meaning, depending on the competency of the writer.

Here's the thing....the amulet can absorb ANY ENERGY, sending it to an alternative dimention in his cells....which makes him powerful even more.

Its like mjolnir except Thor doesn't get a boost when he absorbs.

That he is, I'm one of his biggest proponents.

The Infinity Gauntlet feat is insane, and often gets downplayed because Strange countered one gem at a time.

Did they read Infinity Gauntlet? Thanos only used one gem.at a time against the cosmic armada, too. It's outright stated when he's using the time gem against Chronos, or the power gem against Celestials.

Hes not plot devicey in his own book. There's a couple times his eye defends him at lightspeed, but hes inconsistently written when not in his own book.

He's never needed hand gestures or words to do spells, but outside his own books he does. Its weird.
