I didn't get Evil Empire until much later. I had a discman, though not in in 96.

I didn't own JNCOs, or Airwalks (I had the Walmart knock-off's). Didn't get into RATM really. Everything else is spot on. My hair could never really do that though, but I tried.

I didn't have a "No Fear" shirt, but I did have a "No Fear" cap, a Sony Walkman, a chain wallet and I think I used Yoyo at some point. I was around 8-9 at the time.

NO. I was not. I repeat NOT Zachary Ty Bryan in 1996 . Or any other year for that matter.

i was mostly hoodie, varsity jacket and timberland boots at that time. I did rock them chain wallets though, ha!

Ad for that list. I tried Surge a couple times but never drank it religiously.

I was already in the Army, married, with a kid in '96. The wallet was damn cool though, and annoyed my bosses, since there was no specific rule against having one in uniform.

RIv sas on permanent latrine orderly duty in 96.

I was none of those. I dressed nicely for elementary school. I played video games, computer games, and played sports.


But, I did notice that some of the other children were all of those things.

My mom wouldn't let me dress myself when I was a little kid. She was all caught up with this concept that your clothes had to MATCH or some such nonsense.

I was 7 in 96. I had no interest in items and clothing such as these.

I owned the **** out of Evil Empire. And the sh*tty Walkman to play it in. Only "Smash" by Offspring might have been more iconic to 90s kids (boys).

What is the bookbag doing there? They sell identical ones in 2015. That's the lone item on there that had nothing to do with style. It was an entirely practical necessity.

I always had a rucksack, but yeah, a bag like that? Totally necessary.
