What species has the better physicals, intelligence, and is more capable in a fight?

Ssi-Ruuk seem better at science, though that could be cultural.

Physical.. is hard. Both seem around wookiee strong. Though it depends on caste some- I'm assuming a red warrior cast Ssi-ruuk, a Barabel should have the edge over the smaller casts.

Both are blaster-resistant. Barabel are noted for their ability to keep fighting with and heal from major wounds, so maybe small edge there.

I think the Ssi-ruuk body plan likely gives better running speed and unarmed combat (aside from grappling), and they have better claws and jaws, while the Barabel humanoid shape makes them more flexible and IMO more suited to melee weapons.

So,, unarmed, I'd go the Ssi-ruuk, but toss in swords or spears, or more advanced weapons, I'd go Barabel.
