How wacky cartoony is BP's weapons and tech nowadays?

Vanguard
They're not cartoony at all. Teleport, Shields, energy Gauntlets, invisibility, grenades.

BP spins Dredd's helmet around his colossal head before he can react, snatches his gun and shoots a hole out the top of his dome through his judgmental *******. He reverse tech's Dredds gun out of boredom then mails it to Rocket Raccoon after smashing two Dora Milaje.

Both, really.

BP could easily kill a Dark Judge's host body, given the chance... It is just a human vessel, after all. srsly

A Dark Judge's essence, however, cannot be destroyed by any conventional means.

Extremely inaccurate, Dark Judge Death was throwing around tanks with his bare hands, shattering concrete walls, and was regenerating from scraps.

Their essence can be destroyed/exiled, it is how they were defeated the third time when they were banished to limbo.

Galan007
I'm not saying a Dark Judge's vessel it's powerful. I'm simply saying that it is ultimately still human/mortal, and as such, can be weakened/killed.

Well I would say that is debatable as they The Dark Judges have shown that they are immortal and unaffected by time/aging. Furthermore, both Judge Death and Judge Mortis have been reduced down to near nothing and regenerated quickly.

Their damage soak is way beyond anything mortal as well...

Is that why Judge Fire's vessel has been 'killed' by a wood chipper?:

As for Mortis: he was unable to regenerate his arm after losing it to one of Dredd's bombs(Prog. 1918.)

So yeah, your 'facts' are questionable to say the least.

You are showing displays from one run of the dark judges, they have been in many story arcs.

Ill post scans later.

All of their showings are canon, the 2000ad verse has never had a infinite crisis like reboot.

The ones you posted are an outlier compared to the majority of their older apppearances.

Galan007
Outliers, lol? Here are a few of their older showings, then...

Heck, Death was even susceptible to the effects of Scarecrow's fear gas:

...I can keep going, if need be.

Point: while a Dark Judge can endure a lot of physical damage(they don't feel pain, after all), they are definitely not immortal like you claimed. If their bodies are rendered uninhabitable(be it burned, blown up, shot to shit, etc.) they "gas out" and seek another host vessel.

My posts stated they are immortal in that they do not age (is on this page), i stated they can take alot more damage than any human can (except dredd). So what did I say that was inaccurate?

Galan007
Agelessness and immortality are completely different traits in the world of comics. That said, a Dark Judge's vessel is ageless, and undoubtedly enhanced to a degree...

However, their bodies are certainly not immortal, given that they can obviously be killed by conventional means.

True. Very true.

Khazra Reborn
Dredd is a baller, but due to the gritty nature of his comic, he often doesn't do the stupid shit most Marvel and DC streets are able to pull off.

Good point.
Another good point (if this ever gets around to Dredd and BP). I said standard gear in the OP.
For Dredd, that includes comms to call up enough Judges slash firepower to level a (mega) city block.

Galan007
So you're giving Dredd outside help? confused

Can BP call in the Avengers?

riv6672
Just pointing out standard gear.

Board Walker

A judges standard gear is calling for air strikes, judge reinforcements, terminators, etc.

The avengers is not standard gear for the BP

Galan007
So we're pretty much doing whatever it takes to give Dredd the win. Gotcha. thumb up

Outside help is now "standard gear" in this thread. thumb up

-K-M-
Then I guess black panther can call on wakanda as under the definition of "standard gear" here

Galan007

Board Walker

Not his standard gear as he doesn't use it regularly in the majority of his fights. In the majority of Dredd's fights he uses other judges, terminators, aliens, nukes, etc.

Standard gear for Dredd.

Galan007
Just thought I'd throw this forum rule in here as a reminder...

If you'd like to argue it further, I'm sure Bada would be more then happy to give a ruling. smile

-K-M-
Haha what? No. This is coming from a big Dredd fan too

http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j165/A_Flight10/dredd_zpsykqs4ioy.jpg

Nor is calling for backup allowed under the rules of the board....

"No outside help
Unless specified otherwise, no contestant may call for outside assistance, even in scenario matches. For example, Captain America cannot call in the Avengers during a fight with Batman"

Galan007
^ I ninja'd you. vin

So its the resources of Wakanda vs a gigantic, militarized, megapolis from the future.

BP wins.

riv6672
Well, i got things back on topic, with one well placed comment. stick out tongue

Well i would postulate that this isn't outside help as it the judges are part of Dredd's department.

I would to, if push came to shove.
Dredd is a policeman, thats what they do, IF they need help, which i dont personally think he would. Between his bike, his gun, his stats and his knowledge of the battle field he'd win a good hard fight.
Its hilarious that the comms observation suddenly gave BP the standard ability to call the Avengers, his entire country, and then the board's mods to a different dimension though...yes

Precisely, but worry not true believer as my debating skills have already demonstrated why Dredd is allowed to call in his fellow Judges, terminators, predators, aliens, nukes, etc.

Are you being serious? Those sarcastic comments were made to point out your reasoning dredd can call for backup, nukes, aliens, predators, etc and what you proposed is complelty against the board rules

Got to remember that. In a one on one fight it's not Dredd vs someone. It's Mega City One vs the one person. Good call thumb up

Anybody have scans of a Judge calling in Terminator or Predator reinforcements? Never heard of this before.
