What's the difference between 2 and 3? Per forum rules, they're fairly identical.

Anyway, John's military training gives him the edge in #1. Hal takes the other two.

Hal beat Sinestro bare handed, beat Guy bare handed several times. Trained with and beat Kilowog.
Has taken down groups of thugs with seemingly little difficulty in melee.
Took on a polar bear and a brown bear.

And he was man enough to actually punch Batman for being a dick.

I'm taking him down the line.

I'm taking him down the line. batman has actually complemented John's right hook and he even punches hard enough that it left mark on an alpha lantern's hand. John has also gone toe to toe with New Gods in single combat without his ring.
