Just because a ridiculous story is old does it make it any less silly

Reposted for discussion about the nature of Faith and the obvious lack of supporting empirical evidence that faith implicit in its very nature. Is faith anything more than a pipe dream?

So I ask again....

What do Harry Potter, LOtR, Action Comics 1, The bible, Koran and Torah, have in common?

Made up stories which are un realistic and silly, so why do rational people believe in such twaddle just because the stories are old? Or do rational people not believe in it at all. Is Faith an interchangeable word for gullible?

Low and behold, this man represents the atheists. And he wonders why there are religious people out there. This was a truly hilarious post missing all the points you could possibly missed. Good job thumb up

Shut up.

And the unintelligent troll who doesn't know what confirmation bias means, swoops in to make it a love triangle.

Bashar Teg

He does not. He is an atheist, it seems. But there are 100 different ways to that same epistemological conclusion, and OP's is one of the more shallow and antagonistic. In that respect, he represents nothing beyond himself. And, frankly, he's probably either quite young or trying to get a rise out of strangers on the internet. Either way, the OP, structured as it is and all of about three sentences, can be safely ignored as anything resembling a coherent or defensible worldview.

Athiesm is not an organization. You cant cherrypick a spokesman because he's a famous scientist.

But lets be real for a sec. i have nothing against an athiest sock puppet show. Just more with the humor and try not to wear your dogma on your sleeve, like you just did there. Makes it too obvious and you only end up fooling the most stupid and gullible of us.

Of course though on any issue people pick and choose which voices resonate and the fact when you or I make a statement on an issue and no one cares shows exactly the opposite of what you are saying. BTW what is a sock puppet?

Bashar Teg
An effigy created to inspire people to embarrass themselves. Strawman if you prefer.

Bra, I was joking. Of course he doesn't represent the intelligent atheists.
