It's possible in prehistory, religion led to communities and jump started civilisation through collective focus. It has certainly led to beautiful art, music, literature and architecture. However like so many past religions is its time and purpose over. Isn't it time humanity put away it's fairy tales and grew up?

What do you equate to being modern day superstition? Stuff like Jenny McCarthy telling people vaccines are bad? If so, yes that indeed holds humanity back.

Basher's continued ignorance and stupidity aside, you didn't have much luck in the other thread, I'm not sure you'll get anything but trolling and insults in this one. Good shot though thumb up
