Stormtroopers. The whole ground battle was in their favor until Chewie hijacked an AT-ST. That and considering here, they would be expecting an actual fight, they wouldn't be taken by surprise.

That and to note, the Ewoks were steering clear of the Imperials stationed at the bunker, that should tell you how their chances of actually taking them on would be.

Before bringing up the BoE, again referring to the fact the entire battle was only turned into victory for the Rebels with a hijacked AT-ST, there was also a Rebel Commando force fighting too, if one actually watches the battle, you'll take notice that the Ewoks had to

1. Gang up on small groups of at max 4 Stormtroopers

2. Take them out when they were distracted by Rebels firing at them.

Here neither of those things are around.

They can gang up, but this won't do them much good as the Troopers won't be distracted by Rebel Troops firing at them.

Not that it matters, because again see previous point.
