Three wrestling icons at their peaks. Taz is ECW, and Goldberg is WCW, not the WWE watered down versions.

Who wins?

Stone Cold absolutely tears them to shreds.

Tazz has never beaten Austin, and Goldberg and Austin have never fought.

Had they fought, Austin woulda tore him apart.

This guy beat Ric Flair and Big Show at the same time.

ehh... what the best stone cold feat have ? goldberg in real life have MMA experiences and also he jackhammer big show (507 pound) and big daddy (522 pound). and for agility goldberg can do stand backflip. he also easily military press brock lesnar (300 pound) batista (318 pound) and briands adams (328 pound) and also bench press scott steiner 5-6 times

Tazz is out of his league against these two.

Goldberg is probably stronger, and faster than Austin though.

He's beaten the Rock more then the Rock has beaten him.

This is a wrestling match, Tazz and Goldberg don't want this problem.

but the problem is that part is scripted. not actual strength.

Match = Austin

Fight = Goldberg (tho Chris Jericho was said to give him fits in a shoot fight)

Badass midget contest = Taz

Even in matches Goldberg should win. Austin's always been badass, but Goldberg was basically a force of nature on legs that only had one skill, which was to win.

Tossing around as in, lifting 500+lb men directly over his head, holding them there, and then slamming them down? Or something else?

And I'm going off the numbers. Goldberg won a lot more for only having about 20 less matches. He drawed a lot less, and lost a whoooole lot less. If we go by numbers alone, Goldberg wins. If we go by actual training and strength, Goldberg wins. Not only was he a football player, but he's a trained fighter as well(not wrestler, fighter).

If you want Austin to win because he's awesome and you like him, cool. But he shouldn't win against Goldberg based on...everything really. Unless McMahon told him to lose, I don't see it.

On pure numbers, yeah, Goldberg owns.

The question is, how many were quality wins? Austin, he was tackling Undertaker and Kane at the same time, mixing it up with Foley, Rock, HHH, AND fighting down teams more often then not.

And while I said not to use watered down cross company versions, since someone brought up Tazz in WWE, it's fair to point out Goldberg LOST a triple threat match vs Kane and Trips.

His first lost was also against Nash with Hall running interference.

In other words Goldberg is a singles specialist, but has problems with teams and factions. And this IS a three way match he's in. (Sub note, Bret Hart also fooled him with a metal plate a spear under his shirt. Austins a master of brawling and cheating, so if Bret could do it...)

Goldberg wins, without question.

He has superior feats of speed, strength, and has a near flawless record that Austin could never hope to match.

Goldberg ran through guys that Austin struggled with (he put away the Rock with ease, and that same version of the Rock beat Austin at Wrestlemania). And he put away Brock ****ing Lesnar with only mild-diffulty. The same Brock that beat down The Rock, (once again, Austin's biggest opponent and biggest win).

Goldberg was a beast in WCW, Austin's success in WCW was pretty much non-existant (although he wasn't stone cold yet in WCW), and even WWE, Austin's home turf, Goldberg still did far better than Austin did, by the simple fact that he had no clean losses.

Even the triple threat with Kane and Triple H required Evolution interference, it wasn't a straightforward loss.

Treat wrestling match ups like any other fictional match up. Look at feats. Don't let bias play into it, or talk about hypothetical booking because its basically the same argument as; "Oh Batman wouldn't get stomped by So-and-So in a book even if that person has better feats because portrayal blahblah".

Also, the comparison with Bret tricking Goldberg is a red-herring. It wasn't even in a match and Bret had the luxury of wearing a jersey. Not comparable to anything Austin could do in a match. But leaving the argument as 'Austin is good at cheating' is basically the same argument as saying 'Prep Time, my imagination can go anywhere, so X wins' arguments. Goldberg is pretty unfamiliar with losing, even when foreign objects come into play against him, which was quite often, he usually brute-forced his way to a win, unless its something that's a complete outlier...like a cattle prod.


Anyway, Goldberg is absolutely the favorite by a large margin in this match up. There is no argument otherwise.

Goldberg is bigger, faster, stronger, more successful in W/L ratio, more durable (able to nearly no-sell chair shots from monsters like Meng) and comparable in experience despite less ring time overall, than both of these opponents.


With that being said, Ultimate Warrior is definitely in at the top of the God-Tier as far as wrestlers go.

Best win percentage of any wrestler (that has at least 50 matches), extremely high quality competition, the best single win in wrestling history (Prime Hogan, who is probably at least a complete tier above Austin and The Rock), no real clean losses. (has one non-canon clean loss to Andre the Giant early in his WWF career, but it was in a non-televised house-show in Europe, so it wasn't canon), has Hax defense (overcame Papa Shango's magic).

Well Bob Sapp took Austin out. He couldn't win with a broken freaking neck. He's no Kurt Angle after all

And Nash wasn't 100%. Hell I think he quit playing halfway thru to become a cheerleader. Not a fair match at all lol
