Tony dies unless he has one of those super armors. And even then he loses more than he wins. Genos is too fast, and his fire is...simply ridiculous.

Genos trashes movie Iron Man, I don't think there's any doubt.

Comics Iron Man has, over time, increased in level to the point that he can overpower someone like Genos, take his attacks, and can answer his speed. Plus, having the flight edge doesn't hurt. So, while some older versions would be beaten, modern IM has a solid edge.

Has modern Iron Man done something to warrant him taking the full force of Genos attacks? Like the ones that burned away huge chunks of land in moments? Or keep up with his speed which is far beyond what most people who fight Iron Man are capable of?

Yea, modern Iron Man has gone toe to toe with Hulks and performed pretty well, taken hits from Thor... greater firepower than Genos has got, no disrespect to Genos. And he does have computer targeting and such to handle very fast foes, he's fought opponents like Sentry.
