Oh no, he didn't tell congress about a deal to free a captive American because doing so would've jeopardized the deal!

Still not seeing the freakout. Especially when, as the article notes, the accusation that it's illegal is still questionable.

This is just another re-hash of the same issue, with no new complaints or information. Obama did, in fact, do the trade without proper notice, but he had a real reason not to, and the issue boils down to 'do you think it was worth it?' (especially as the five released likely are going to stay in Qatar).

Another Republican lead inquiry that ends with, "We haven't actually been able to demonstrate that the Democrat in question that we're targeting did anything illegal, but we're still sure they're horrible." Another post of Time convinced that every such inconclusive inquiry is a gigantic scandal.

He informed them 3 days before. The law says 30 days.

So that's breaking the law.

But that's allowed if doing so would jeopardize things.

Like the article said- the article from a right-wing news company reporting on a Republican report- the presence of illegality was not conclusive.

It is interesting how you post articles that note stuff is unsure, and you always fall on the side of "Obama/Hillary/whoever definitely did it!".




He's an American Citizen, and we gave up people very out of touch and put them into a neutral country.

Sure so right wing "terrorists" are equal to Muslims. But giving up terrorists for a traitor is ok.

U.S. Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl gets to live and go home to his family. Seems like a win to me. If he needs to face charges once on US soil, so be it.
