how much energy does the silver surfer absorb before he overloads? can he clear this?

He gets overloaded at one.

He has his lows and highs like everybody else. On average I would think anything like a portion of a galaxy should be beyond any herald level being honestly. So on average he clears six and stops there. On his highs he gets to 8. The necrosword has shown Itself to be at the very least be equal to galactus. Or able to to severely injure him in a few strikes. The Godbomb should be way, way past SS or anybody below anstravt.

Based on? He has been overloaded by just a portion of Earth's sun before.

Gets to the end and a toss up.

Stops already at 1. He got overloaded by a simple solar flare (i.e. a tiny, tiny, tiny fraction of the Sun's total energy).

He nearly exploded draining just a minute portion of the sun's energy.
