Do wingless birds still make good dinners?

We're all familiar with poultry or game birds as a food option. However, this one guy told me that birds that don't have their wings removed are a healthier dinner option, as they burn more fat during their life due to the extra exercise they're able to do. I was shocked to the core when I first heard this. What do you guys think?
