As we know, everyone in the world speaks English these days. So why are there still movies made in foreign languages? What's the point of making movies when people like me can't understand them? And why is the Academy still condoning this antiquated practice by awarding an Oscar for best Foreign Language Film every year? I'm interested in hearing you guys' opinion on this.

Ya, foreign cinema can be a great break from Hollywood films that can seem... Done before

Aside from some brilliant movies produced I didn't have porn growing up and some films... Did the deed

What an odd question for a capitalist to ask.

Hey don't knock foreign films like Troy.

I like my Greek Legends to have blonde hair & speak with an American accent.

Foreign films are important for countries not associated with big cinema, for instance those guys from Chile got their country on the Oscar map, that can do wonders for a small country's morale.

No. I wasn't paying enough attention and assumed Bear Story was a foreign film.

Good observation with a quality burn woven into the subtext.
