The league really only survived the Hyperclan because they knew about White Martians and their weaknesses. When they didn't know who they were fighting, they weren't doing too well. Since the squadron lacks this knowledge, I'm inclined to say they get overwhelmed in both.

It's been a while since I read the arc, but IIRC Zum was the Flash's counterpart, while Protrex was Superman's and the chick (Primaid?) was Wonder Woman's. Those were the core three, so I'd keep them in the fight. The rest are all pretty interchangeable IMO. They all have the exact same power set in the end.
