9-10/10, I don't think Malgus has ever matched Dooku's lifting of the stone orbalisks, and even if he has, Dooku is uniquely talented in interweaving Force moves into lightsaber combat (see his simultaneous tooling of Obi Wan and Anakin in RotS). With a saber of course he just outstrips Malgus in every possible way.



3-4/10. He eventually wins in a pure lightsaber contest, but Marek's Force feats are insane. Marek probably cannot ragdoll Dooku outright, but he can survive long enough with a saber to take advantage of his superior TK, lightning, repulse, maelstorm, etc.



2-3/10. Dark Rendevous suggests that they're equals on neutral ground, but I'd give Windu the edge with vaapad by RotS - IIRC he was still improving the form throughout the Clone Wars. Plus a peak performance Windu is scary.



2-3/10. Anakin was holding back when his every blow was " a decade". I don't believe that Knightfall Vader is as emotionally compromised as his Mustafar incarnation, but that's the 2-3/10 shot for Dooku.



0/10. Yoda and Sidious are pretty enormously above Dooku IMHO, look at Sidious vs. pre-vaapad Windu.

Malgus 4/10 - I think Malgus is less skilled, but he would make Dooku's job a lot harder with his strength. A force fight won't go in Dooku's favor. This fight could go either way, but I think Malgus has the slight edge.

Windu 5/10 - still can't decide...

Vader 3/10 - Dooku can still take 3 rounds due to Anakin's overall stupidity. Dooku is more clever and experienced, he did manage to fight him and Kenobi at the same time and f*** with his mind after all (despite the outcome that Sidious brought).

Yoda - 0/10 cause Yoda doesn't get ragdolled by Sidious. Originally posted by The Ellimist

Why do you say that Malgus would beat Dooku in a Force fight? Tyranus's casual lifting of those twelve massive stone orbalisks was incredible, as was his ability to casual ragdoll Obi Wan while simultaneously kicking Anakin to the curb. He's extensively studied sith hplocrons under the most powerful Sith Lord of all time, created illusory projections of himself, and disarmed three night sisters with lightning at the same time while drugged (IIRC). I think he has quite the pedigree in Force ability to at least force a duel, where Malgus's feats and accolades begin to pale in comparison.


I also don't think that brute force alone poses a challenge to Dooku - people use the Anakin mismatch, but Anakin was also a very technically skilled swordsman and I don't think Malgus has Skywalker's raw strength or strength in the Force to replicate RotS. Dooku still routinely trashed Grievous, for example.

Guy literally ruins a Jedi every chance he gets via sheer strength. He is quite skilled and capable enough to apply that kinetic power into a duel. His strikes made Leneer's arms quiver and put her on her knees.

And his FE fight is beyond the force feats you listed imo.

I don't believe Vaa-pad would work against Dooku because he is not a raging sith. Antoine Bandele made a video on this.

There is no question that Dooku could combat Windu's Vaapad. He has already outfenced Windu before and he disarmed Sora Bulq (also a Vaapad specialist) very easily.

I only remember Dooku having bested Windu in sparring matches pre-TPM. And Sora Bulq was neither Windu's equal nor a master of vaapad.

I'd argue that Dooku's mastery of the Quey'tek meditation technique would subvert Mace's Vaapad.

Nah, Sidious was the master of that, hiding in front of the most powerful Jedi Order in galactic history for several decades, and he couldn't stop Windu from drawing on his power. I'd imagine that you can't exert yourself too much with the Force and still keep your signature hidden.

It was Sidious's pure hatred for the Jedi and his excitement for the fight of a life time spent waiting for that Mace was able to feed off of. Dooku's hatred is no where near as strong as Sidious. In fact when on Vjun he was considering going back to the Jedi. Also Dooku's style is very collected and calm. Precise (contrast to Vaapad's wild strikes and wide openings). Not the very thing Mace would get a good amp with.
