Yeah, he can tag him. Azazel has to get dangerously close to actually attack him, and Blade is so much faster than him in combat speed and reaction time it's crazy.

And he's years of fighting sneaky vampires who like to hide and attack from the shadows so his style of fighting is nothing he's not used to.
