Vader can't compare to him in feats. Even when he was near death, Bane was able to easily kill an innocent family with his lightsaber. Later when an orphan with a lightsaber tried to fight him, Bane commented that he could have easily killed the child if he wanted to. Bane fights many powerful mercenaries and uses very potent telekinesis; when he unleashed an orbalisk-amped Force wave, a shadow assassin needed to struggle to tank it and keep charging, even though shadow assassins are almost as strong as the best Jedi padawans. He was even able to crush a dying sith lord's spine by stepping on it.
Vader, meanwhile, is a weakling:

Notice how when Starkiller unleashes his Force repulse, which takes several fractions of a second to vaporize just a few dozen stormtroopers and a few hundred trees, Vader needs to turn his head to the side to walk through it?
Meanwhile, Bane didn't need to turn his head to deflect the blaster fire of mercenaries who were said to be able to kill people.
Bane ragdolls Vader, crushes his mind, enslaves him, overthrows Palpatine and rules the Empire for himself. Of course Vitiate is still better than him though.
