And I'm getting tired of people who act like political correctness is some kind of plague on humanity.
So let me get this straight...
You're getting tired of people who are getting tired of people who are getting tired of people not being politically correct?
Do I have it right?

Lots of people whine about how political correctness is whining, which is just ironic as hell.
"Good god, shutup. No body ****ing cares that you're gay and oppressed. Stop talking about it at work so damn much."
I guess that's whining? I'd rather just get back to work and not have to hear another story about how tough it is to be flamboyantly in-your-face gay.
This is just one example.
Here's another: "I'm a woman and I'm oppressed at work because Bill and Joe called each other bitches when they were joking with each other and I just so happened to walk past their desk and here it. Boo hooo."
Ugh...it hurts so much to! Ahhhh...who cares, lady? Why not join in with Bill and Joe by saying, "You both are bitches because you'd rather joke than actually work like I am. So long, assholes! WEEEE!!!!" And do you think Bill and Joe would say anything? Maybe they'd even laugh and think she worked harder than they did...even if she actually doesn't.
One of my favorite lines at work was from a woman to a man who was being sexist. She said, "I"ve got bigger balls than you do, calm down, you p*ssy."
That line worked quite well. Put him in his place. Yes, fire does fight fire. That's a stupid saying because it is not like using fire, at all. He brought a little fire stick and she brought an endothermic bomb.
Now, saying stuff like, "Wow, all black people are dumb criminals!" or "All gays are disgusting pedophiles". Yeah, that stuff should go right up their ass next to their bible, self-righteousness, cross-shapped-buttplug, and their head.

Get over it already. Pretty much all my friends are what you would consider "PC" and I never have any problems with them because I use common sense with what I say and do.
That's why they are your friends and not mine: you like to be PC, I don't. Maybe I want to jokingly call someone a b*tch? Maybe I want to make a racist joke? Maybe I want to make fun of a religion? Maybe I want to make a sexist joke?
Doesn't mean I believe any of those things. Some of the most fun in conversations I've had at work were from, say, black people making racist jokes or woman making sexist jokes. Oh, and one of my favorite things was when my two gay coworkers would argue (not seriously) and they'd call each other fagg*t. We could never get too angry at work because everyone kept it fun.
Here's a situation that pissed me off at work. I used to work for DirecTV, back in the day. We had a training course and we got to choose movies for an object game. Our group chose Kung Pow: Enter the Fist. I said I was from the large dark nipple tribe (I don't have large dark nipples. Just tiny light brown ones.) Guess what? The only black woman in the room lost her shit and called it racist. She was soooooo concerned about everything being politically correct that she not only ruined the object lesson, she made everyone nervous about saying anything at all. Here we are, all adults, getting to chose any movie we want for our team (including rated R movies), and porn is just a click away on any of the TVs in the next room (when you work for DirecTV corporate, some of the receivers are completely unlocked which includes the fapping or jilling channels).
Obviously, she was just looking for trouble. And boy was she annoying. My young self didn't even know what was going on, at the time. I could not figure out why she was upset until someone explained it to me. And she didn't get upset at all about the group who chose reservoir dogs and acted out part of the torture scene. Not at all. Nope. She laser focused on the large dark nipple tribe.
Clearly, only fat black women have large dark nipples and it is racist to even utter that phrase.

Idiots who say stupid things may not deserve public witchhunts which often happens (and this is where I'll agree that PCness can be easily taken too far), but they're still idiots, and with just a modicum of tact and forethought they could avoid offending anyone.*
I don't agree. People who say things, un-seriously, or jokingly, don't deserve a witch hunt. Truly racist, sexist, etc. people should be shamed. But no witch hunts for saying very benign things intended as humor. But where do you draw the line when someone says something that proves they are sexist/racist/etc.? Don't know. We should be less apt to do a witch hunt and only go after the obvious ones.
Chris Matthews? In any casual conversation, what he said would be a compliment. "Holy shit, she can walk just like a pro." Ohh ho ho, but in the politically correct world, you had better not say someone looks good or can walk like a model, especially if they are female. That's just sexist and objectifies them! Get the pitchforks! His job is gone! Weee!

*And here, you may argue that there are some who get offended by just about anything, and you might be right about that, but they're actually not a significant enough part of the population to worry about them.
But this small minority is very loud and certainly ruins a lot of shit for everyone else. They get people fired, ruin careers, harass (but it is righteous harassment), and so forth.

Edit: Oh, and DDD, I hope this doesn't come off as too combative. I'm not really directing this at you necessarily (though it may seem that way), it's just lately I'm sick of all the QQing about PCness when most of the time it seems to me that political correctness simply means considering how other people might react to what you say before you say it, which to me should just be a matter of course.
Oh no, I took it as combative. That's why I got my bo-staff out and my hacking computer out. Girls like guys with skills. Only sissies don't have skills.
