The Sith Empire vs the Galactic Republic thread produced much debate and was pleasing to see. Let's see if this can replicate that.

If TOR's Sith Empire was magically transported into a CIS-dominated Clone Wars era galaxy, who would win a galactic confrontation? Not much prep time, since the CIS will attack immediately after being forewarned that "enemies are coming".

Round 1: The Sith Empire as of the start of the Great Galactic War

Round 2: The Sith Empire as of the start of the Second Great Galactic War

The Sith Empire starts with control of most of the Outer Rim worlds and Unknown Regions, while the CIS have control over the Deep Core, the Mid Rim, and some Outer Rim worlds (only the ones adjacent to the Mid Rim).

Victory is obtained if:

- Every single Imperial/CIS man/droid and ship is wiped out.
- All planets controlled by one faction are lost.

The leaders are involved, but Sidious/Vitiate cannot be involved in battles unless their headquarters of Coruscant/Dromund Kaas are attacked. Dooku and the Dark Council Members can be involved in fights, but with a limit of ten battles per year.

Which faction will triumph and how long will it take to do so (years and months)?

SunRazer
To kick off the discussion, CIS' armies obviously vastly outweigh Empire's in size, but the Empire's average fodder is vastly above the CIS' average fodder. But we have seen, of course, that sheer numbers can overwhelm Jedi.

I believe CIS tech is also more advanced, which gives their warships and artillery the advantage. I'm also unsure how the Empire will respond to things like the Dark Reaper, but much the same way, the CIS could also have have problems with the Empire's own superweapons.

Things like the Dread Mastes' fear and telepathic control won't be effective on the droids, though, which is one benefit of using a droid army over humans.

SunRazer
Bump.

Obviously the CIS wipes. They just pour out tons of cruisers and blockade Dromund Kaas. Three months.

SunRazer
Well, that would allow Vitiate to use his beloved rituals.

And what was the difference with the GAR that stopped the CIS from doing the same there?

FreshestSlice
Because the GAR had Sidious orchestrating battles in and out of their favor and the Sith Empire doesn't, which is why the Eternal Fleet defeated them and the Republic at the same time in three months. And Vitiate's rituals won't do shit to droids.

The CIS slaughters everyone in the TOR galaxy at the same time.

Contrary to popular belief, technology does advance in Star Wars. Even over the course of the Clone Wars they did, lmao. By the time of the Galactic Alliance, CW era ships were derided as "ancient hardware" by Caedus and even imperial tech was being upgraded and phased away. This is all the more evident in the various technological innovations that never existed in TOR, like the Death Stars (which the CIS had the capacity to build).
The CIS military is massive, with some sources giving them literally quadrillions of battle droids. "millions of sith" or no, the Sith Empire is hopelessly outmatched.
The CIS controls a ridiculous amount of money and industry.

The only way the Sith Empire wins is by Vitiate mindf*cking the Separatist leadership.

SunRazer
I don't think the Separatist leadership would ever be anywhere near Valkorion.

One wonders what might've happened if Sidious hadn't actually planned to take over the Pub and used the CIS as his actual empire. It would've been a clean, non-manipulated war. The CIS probably would've won in the end.

As for the thread, the CIS dominates. Mainly because of sheer numbers and the fact that Sidious will not be orchestrating battles in favour of both factions. The Sith's infighting and retarded power struggles won't help, either.

The Ellimist
^ I'm pretty sure the Republic won most space battles.
