It's pretty clear that Kyp > even prime Vader.

1. If he turned to the dark side, it was said he could be "worse than" Vader.
2. Luke thinks he could become the greatest of all of the Jedi.
3. Kyp replicates the dovan basal feat easier than Luke does.

Yeah, Luke also said that Kyp could become greater than himself. He didn't. Not even close. I don't see why the Vader situation is any different.

1. Oooh, spooky! Just like how literally everything is a Palpatine level or worse threat in Luke's eyes.
2. Yawn. And Starkiller could have become the "most powerful force user to ever live."
3. Yeeeep. Also gets defeated by a single Vong Slayer, is around the level of Viun Gaalan as a swordsman, (who Luke ultimately humiliates,) and is generally a footnote in the grand scheme of things. Meanwhile Starkiller can disintegrate a frigate while barrier'ing re-entry heat, down AT-AT's with lightning, IIRC power a cannon with lightning that blows up a Star Destroyer, and stand on even ground with/defeat TFU/TFU II Vader, even in sabers. Going with him.

If Starkiller beats Kyp, it won't be easy.

Starkiller can't beat a Shadow Guard easily, so yeah probably not lol.

Shadow Guards that are stated to be a challenge for Darth Vader? Sure.

At least, that's what DC told me.

You don't assume character's power levels based off their rank/position. You assume their power level based off their feats/accolades. Considering what the SG in question accomplished that's what we would base his power level off of. Though tbh I'm not surprised you don't understand basic scaling like that.
