Kas'im possesses a high level mastery of all the forms, and invented his own movements and sequences for his trainees at the academy. He can mix and weave between different movements to befuddle Caedus, who is not a high level master of every form. Caedus may have lots of raw power but Kas'im can just redirect his strikes and otherwise beat him with skill.

yeah caedus is overrated

Caedus only got four hits in against an enraged Grandmaster Luke, Kas'im was able to survive for a while against a trainee Bane.
