Both franchises have been seen in both movies/anime/cartoons and games so hopefully this will no be banned.
The UNSC has begun to secretly support the Rebellion with small arms, medical supplies and food. The Emperor does not like this so he attacks a UNSC colony and within weeks a full scale shooting war erupts between the two. The Rebellion is now basically ignored due to the new threat.
Rules:
*Empire does not get super weapons like the Death Star.
