His entire life tbh, he was an utter failure.

*Anything involving Anakin
*Telling Yoda Sidious controlled the Senate
*Getting captured by pirates

There's just so many things.

Darth Abonis
Being captured by pirates was definetely one of them, but I think he was told to tell that Sidious was controlling the Senate. The Jedi would think its a complete lie, dismiss it and they would lower their guard with keeping an eye on Palpatine.

FreshestSlice
That obviously didn't work. They were more suspicious of Palpatine than ever.

Sidious sort of wants Dooku to fail against Anakin, right?
He was told to do that.
Tru.

The Ellimist
The part where he gets captured by pirates is definitely idiotic.

I'm sure he wanted Dooku to maim him and nearly lose on a few occasions.
Dooku went about it the wrong way, was my meaning.

Eh it comes with the territory. Sidious even said that the prosthetic was something he liked about Anakin as it made him more relatable to the people or whatever.

How do you know he didn't do exactly as told?

FreshestSlice
He just likes to fluff Anakin, tbh.
I don't. Speculation is speculatory. Tough Dooku was far from tactful there, and and he is in pretty much everything else.
