Same idea. Which character is better and why.

The problem with Vader is that he suffers from overexposure. In both Legends and canon, he's involved in everything. I get why the writers do it, but it's more than a little disorienting. He's commanding planetary invasions and snapping Jedi necks in one comic, then going out and picking up the Emperor's smokes from the local gas station down the road in another.

Probably my favorite portrayal of Vader is the one from TFU2, game and novel. I can't remember which one it is, but it's the scene where Marek is riding that Nebulon B-frigate into atmospheric reentry and he plans on blowing Vader's facility all to hell. Vader goes outside and they just stare at each other, no fear, no hesitation. Then at the last second, Vader steps aside and reveals Juno and Marek freaks out and blows the frigate up.

That was one of the most badass scenes ever.

That I understand, but OT Vader, before "NoooooOOOOOoooo000000!!!!" is easily the best thing Lucas ever wrote.

Vader didn't do much for me in ANH. ESB Vader is almost an entirely different animal. Colder, more imposing, controlled.

TFU2 Vader is all that and then some.

The conflict portrayed in an expressionless face is superb.

Seriously, though, Vader's the whole reason that Malgus exists. While Malgus does have some good moments, he's practically worse than Vader in every character-related facet. And when written at their best, Vader absolutely takes Malgus to the curb.

Whoever voted Malgus needs to be burned at the stake.

Darth Malgus is the face of Sith Warrior class of the Empire. Darth Vader have little to do with this.

Nah. The devs specifically used Vader as an analog for the Warrior.
