Army Busting Feats: How Serious Should We Take Them

So, i saw thread made about the best army busting feats and was inspired. Usually seen in video games(e.x. Knights of the Old Republic series, the Dark Forces and it's successor The Jedi Knight Duology and followed by this is the lovely introduction of The Force Unleashed series) army busting was at one point seen as little more than scripted mechanics that were there to spice up the aforementioned game, after all most - if not all - were not as dialogue and story centric as the Kotor franchise. While the opinions of debating forums and such have changed on this matter, it was not that long ago that these feats were dismissed as simple mechanics. While the efforts of notable debaters such as:

Selenial, Nepthys, AncientPower, ShootingNova, myself and most notably Darthant66, have allowed for these feats to be taken somewhat seriously by several people what with the inclusion of Gaming Guide descriptions and such things. However, despite these feats becoming more notable and respected, I must pose the question: Just how seriously should we take them?

I ask because the performance of some characters against hordes of armies are incredibly impressive, Revans run on the Star Forge, Meetra's raid on Trayus Academy, Katarn spearheading the defense of Yavin, Jaden Korr destroying an entire facility filled with Stormtroopers then spearheading the assault on Korriban. All these are on varying levels of impressiveness.

That said... We see these characters somewhat dip in their supposed power.

For example, Jaden, having defeated a superior swordsman according to Traya, and after besting hordes of Cultists and Reborn, bested Ragnos yet lost to a clone of Kam Solusar.

Meetra being the biggest offender here, was made to be a nearly unstoppable force of destruction, was portrayed as a below average Jedi, even the titular character of the same novel she stared in was "nerfed"

This creates a rather confusing dynamic in which we have an impressive and powerful army killer, but then this character is nerfed either for story purposes or simply because.

What are your thoughts guys and gals?

Yeah the "two biggest offenders" in Jaden and Meetra have other feats that are impressive within the context of their respective games. Your issue seems more with their portrayal outside of those games rather than how they're portrayed outside of army busting feats.

Pretty much this.

Thing is, Revan lives up to the hype because the author of his novel and the man who wrote his arcs in SW:TOR extensively played KotOR and knew of Revan's feats. The same can't be said for the Exile, though fortunately he knew of the disappearance of the wound, so the power levels can be played down.

So really, IMO, it's quite an isolated case for Jaden, and I don't know enough about the characters involved to try and work around that.

Nephthys
How many does Jaden really take on, anyway? It's usually just a small group of dudes at a time or a couple force users iirc

SunRazer
Ant, how about debating Sel or AP on why Revan's Star Forge run > Meetra's Malachor V run in this very thread?

The Ellimist
That Meetra did it sort of downplays the feat tbh.

What?

Not really, Jaden pretty much falls in line as a total BAMF. My issue with him is sabers, thats all.

ILS
As seriously as you deem fit.
